Scraping in 2020

So was just wondering, are you guys still using scrapebox for some of your scraping tasks?

Or most of you opted to GSA and scrapestorm for the most part?

What are some of the things scrapebox is still considered good at if at all?

or it ALL comes down to the setup and purposes?

i am quite new to this, and for my experimenting purposes can afford only scrapebox for now.

I guess that depends on what i am going to do, So my main 3 goals with this would be:

Scraping targeted emails

Commenting on auto approval lists

Filling contact forms

if this set of goals can be achieve more easily with combining a MAX of 3 GSA tools or with scrapestorm subscription (or any other tools) please let me know.

GSA Makes great products, but I only use scrapebox.

I have a video showing scrapebox scraping over a million urls per minute from google. I mean I can't begin to use them as fast as I get them from scrapebox and it gives me more power and flexibility then I can even use so why would I not use it?



Another reason is that I Can run an unlimited number of instances of scrapebox on the same machine, so I can do all sorts of things, plus the automator I automate 100% of things. I have servers running 24/7 and I routinely go months without touching them (mind you it takes a bit of work to get it to that level) and the data is just output in dropbox and I get it where I need it.

Scrapebox is the swiss army knife of SEO, according to the people here on BHW anyway. The list of things scrapebox is Not good at is a shorter list then the things it is good at. The list its not good at is namely the things it just doesn't do because the functions don't exist.

But in fairness, thats a hard question for any software, especially one with 1000+ functions and tens of thousands of applications.


So to your goals

Commenting on auto approval lists - Scrapebox does this well also, although it boils down to platforms. Scrapebox can post to the platforms it supports.

Filling contact forms - Scrapebox does this. It does depend on what you want in this area. Scrapebox is very powerful and flexible however it comes with only 2 platforms trained for contact form submission. The intent is that the user will train the platforms they want to post to. so again this boils down to what your posting. If your posting to the included platforms great, if not then you will need to train them.

I am still learning, so was doing a little research before i buy any software.

I did buy scrapebox for my training purposes, and watched most of your videos. i am slowly but steadily getting the hang of things, and its quite complicated without the tech background.

Can you direct me to a good article or source for "operators and footprints" i found some on BHW but it was from 2010 and i wasn't sure its relevant.

Its always good to do research before you buy a software, thats very wise.

Yes scrapebox has a large amount of functionality so it can have a learning curve for sure!.

Below is a video on how to make footprints. But you can also just search google for them or you can search google and do

where keyword is whatever the footprint you are after is.
