Hey guys, I was wondering if I could monetize the scrapers/bots that I have

fb, google, okcupid, linkedin and thats to name a few.

So is there there any way?

Yes all of them.

I was asking that since I am trying to somehow find a way to make a passive income as an engineer and was trying to figure out if they hold some value

lol., same here. I can make bot for automation of any web related task, but can't get any idea XD
 
Sell them, man. IM is full of opportunity for bots.

Read some thread here and get some ideas, create bots, UPGRADE your account to Jr. VIP, sell them.

It really is not, I do well with my clients on various sites like toptal etc and locally plus I am still making money from a government project I did 2-3 years ago. I honestly want to know if there is some value and if there is anyone willing to collaborate with me to make some passive money, me giving bots/scrapers them selling/using splitting money etc
 
Do you use the official APIs or something like a emulated browser?

Selenium+bsoup most of the times depending on the task, but if im certain that the site's security is miniscule then I use headless browsers for efficiency. I almost never use the API's since they do not offer much
 
Read methods here then apply them to your own sites and offers. Most methods are similar and can be applied elsewhere..
 
These bots are easy to make, and even those without knowledge can have them developed by programmers for cheap. Their market value is very low. Unless you can create a more comprehensive service surrounding the bots that goes beyond just scraping

That is an honest reply thank you. Scraping fb, google and linkedin etc though is not so easy if you want to set it and forget it.
 
1. Share them.
2. Build your status as coder.
3. Build trust.
4. Make friends.
5. Find clients.
6. Monetize.

Not surefire but still who knows
 
First find a method how to make money online and then automate it using bot, its hard to do it the other way. I have made most of my money in IM with my own bots, but first I always had to find/invent method done manually (or at least test it manually, because some methods what would make you $2 a day done manually can make you $20 a day if automated etc..)
