So a week ago, my site, which has all original well researched posts written by me in 2014 got some kind of google hit and many posts went to page 8 and some posts got deindexed.

Almost all my posts used to rank in Page 1 of google for around 2 years consistently. And I haven't used any Blackhat method.

Many sites that have scraped my content are ranking and I got hit. How?

It is a blogspot blog I had setup in 2014 and used to update it's posts regularly and used to change the date of publish to the date I update its content.

Now is that possible that someone who scraped my site on let's say in March and I updated my post April and changed publish date to April, and google thought that scraped site is real and my content is duplicate?

Do anyone have any idea why that happened and what should I do to recover my rankings?

Mods, Please move the thread to appropriate section if it not in right section.

When you update date of the post, doesn't url of the post change? I think it depends on your settings

Also, if you didnt use any blackhat methods you should probably post this in the White Hat SEO section.

No URL remains same.

But the scrapers used Black Hat Method. I was not sure where to post so posted in this section as it is more active.

You should report the sites to google and send them a DMCA.
That might temporarily solve my problem but I want to be sure of the cause of my deindex and how can I avoid this in future.

I was correct, I received mail from google that my site has been affected because it had scraped content but actually it was other way round, others have scraped from me. Google got confused probably because I have changed the publish date of my posts.
