ATTENTION: for everybody using scrapejet, it has a massive bug that is being ignored/denied by the developers at the moment.

Regardless of what you pick as anchor text option, it will always post (at least several, and sometimes almost all) random male/female names as anchor texts.

This seems to happen randomly, sometimes not at all, sometimes nearly all the time, this has been verified on 3 different machines.

As you can imagine, this is VERY bad.

I have done extensive testing myself, and have verified the same bug on a friend's machine who has been using it for quite some time as well, i told him to check a whole bunch of his backlinks, and indeed, alot of the anchor texts were random male/female names.

The developers of scrapejet ignored this, and actually locked my license after complaining about bugs, but be warned, check all the backlinks it generates, because this could be potentially damaging to you sites rankings.

I advise everybody that has done any blasts to check their backlinks to see if they are affected by this bug.

This isn't intended to blow off the severity of this bug, but I actually sometimes purposely blast AA lists through SB with fake names just to make them seem natural. Not that bad IMO :D

The problem is, nobody else seems to have this "bug", just this guy... :)

Here we go again

This is confirmed on: windows 7 x64, windows xp, and windows 7 32.

And by another person, who i notified of this bug, confirmed the same.

How damn sad is it to deny it?
you could also work with me and try to fix it.
I have never ever encountered a situation like this, where the developer will just treat you like an asscracker pretending the bug doesn't exist simply because you are either the first one to report it, or because he is not affected by it.

And for people asking how it would be damaging, is this a serious question?
Let's not call it damaging then, but in any situation, it won't be helpfull to have 10k links anchored with "john" and "mary", and no, that doesn't help a bit to make your linking look "natural", google is relatively stupid, but thousands of anchors as "names" are really not going to help you, if you want to diversify, use things as: no anchor at all, click here, page, webpage, homepage, clickme, etc, not "mary jane".

Op, the above guys are giving you solid advice... from my blog:

Proper Anchor Text for Best SEO

I've been doing a lot of testing the past few months to see how to overcome any issues with the new Google changes that come along every now and then and have some interesting results concerning anchor text.

Proper Anchor Text for Best SEO is not always using anchor text.

Strange as that may sound you do not want to add anchor text to all your backlinks as you are building your backlink infrastructure. "Naked" backlinks look very natural and pass along link juice to your sites so it would make sense to add them into your SEO strategy. To go onto a site and see http://linkpushing.net is something that you would naturally see and something that a person would just put in when referring your site to others to visit.

I don't think you read what i posted exactly, i'm well aware of do's and don't of general seo, i'm just saying that there is a massive bug in scrapejet atm.
Regardless if mixing anchors with names is good or not, when the option isn't selected, it shouldn't be doing it, yet it is.

Multiple people confirmed this, yet the developers will treat me like an asshat telling me the bug must be my fault, i love their way of doing bussiness.

I agree with BassTrackerBoats. This bug aside, I guess when bloggers leave comment, they tend to use their real names. At least diversify your anchor text.

I'm checking my links now to see if I encounter this....

Yes, it is a serious question.

I understand that you say you aren't getting the anchors you put in, but the thread title, and what you are saying in your OP imply that this "bug" will severely damage your website and it's rankings, which is completely untrue.

Alright, that's your opinion, let's just say that I personally would be very unhappy when i'd find out i had 10K anchor texts with all male/female names, since random names are not part of a "natural linking pattern", let me again say, in my opinion, everybody can decide for himself if it is bad or not.

Words as "click here" "here" "link" sure, but "magdalena" "jenny jones" "bob" nope...
Either way, this is not an SEO 101 discussion, this is about scrapejet and a bug it has.

Just did a test. Selected to use keywords as anchor.
I used keyword "Test".
See attachment... it looks like it really used the keyword, not names :)
Maybe people complaining that it use always names did not check to use keywords? :)

You know, it would look very professional if you wouldn't be a totall asshat and tried to listen to me and work with me, just like all the other software developers that i supplied info to on bugs, who were very responsive and even thankfull, you know why?

Because it helped to improve their software, which means, more happy customers, and more sales = more money in their pocket, instead you go defensive and treat a customer like a retarded monkey and say, that bug doesn't exist!
(not to speak about locking my entire license...that's just rediculous..no words for that one :D)

Trying to make me look like a fool, pretending i am to stupid to choose between 2 checkboxes really doesn't make you look good.

Also, you call that a test? 1 profile?
I can make 1 as well, or 10, alot do work fine with proper anchor, and alot don't.

Run several 100's, on different platforms, and see the results 1 by 1, then on different systems, that's a test, but then again, you are supposed to know that as a software developer...
And it might very well be that your system config is not affected by this bug whatsoever, again, this is software, and something you should know all to well.

Because i'm a nice guy, i'll give you the info i have.
This seemed to only happen after stopping and resuming a project so far, using the resume function with saved data.
Pixelpost and wordpress affected for sure, others i am not sure, did not test all platforms.

OP - Instead of complaining about people not helping you, why not post your screenshots of the bug so that people here can see what you are talking about?

A screenshot of what, my links with the wrong anchors..?
That doesn't make sense.

And complaining about people not helping me? Who, where, when?
I no longer need any help with scrapejet, the developer decided to ban my entire license after outing some bugs ;)

I don't understand all the complaining here, this is a thread to warn people, you know, that's what some people still do these days, i know it's rare.. i suppose people just don't care...?

You accuse everyone from the ScrapeJet team to the BHW members posting in this thread of trying to make you look bad in nearly every post you make in here.

You accuse the software of having a massive bug, yet you appear to be the only person having this bug so far. When asked to produce screenshots, you can't.

How did you even contact their support without providing them screenshots of the bugs you are claiming exist?

You are the only making yourself look like ass.

This thread sounds as bogus as you and your story.

Do you have any issues reading? It seems you do because you are talking out of your ass.

And are you serious about your whole screenshot..? I'll say it again: a screenshot of WHAT?

Forget about this whole thing, it seems people here either have an IQ below 30, or simply can't read.

Have fun with your bugged software.

I am having fun with my copy, but maybe that's because mine isn't "bugged" like yours and I actually know how to use it.
