I'm planning to get a $35/month VPS from XSserver.eu .

This is the first time I'm gonna use a VPS. Until now I was running my tools from my home PC.:D

I wanted to know that which windows OS works best with Scrapebox, 2003 or 2008?

Thanks eatingMoney for your quick answer.

I did some research on VPS and found websiteserviceplus.com .

Their tier 3 plan also looks interesting. Has anyone tried them before?
Any reviews guys..??

The support is not good for websiteserviceplus, because that guy is just a reseller so you might be having delayed response if you have any problems. I now use xsserver and I'm quite happy with it.

I'd say 2008 and go for it if you haven't yet!

Their support is just top notch. The longest they took to reply me was 4 hours and it was Christmas. Normally, all my support tickets get replied within 2 hours or even less.

Is there anyone using thrustvps.com , their service also seems to be good.

Hell yeah. Check out my sig ;)

Their cheap too. Been using them for 2 months now and never had any downtime.
I bought Tier 5, Dallas.

Ran Sick Submitter with 25 threads with AMR... everything went smoothly.

But imo, I would choose 2003 though. I was in a dilemma whether to get 2003 or 2008, but someone in a forum said 2003 is "easier" to use and lesser to configure. They also claim that it uses less resources, but that's what they say. Oh well.

Are VPS really needed to run Scrapebox if you have a quad-core? I plan on buying Scrapebox this week

You can run SB from your own computer.

A lot of people just enjoy the freedom of having a VPS running 24/7 without slowing down their own computer.

It is also about bandwidth, if your internet connection is slow then you can kiss goodbye scraping and posting at a decent speed. So here's come the time when you need that vps.
