Scrapebox with Cloakfish Proxies.

Okay, I am looking to use proxies from Cloakfish to post comments with Scrapebox, I am running into a problem though.

Scrapebox won't accept my proxies as they are in the wrong format, I am guessing this is because they don't have the port on them. So what should i change on my proxy list to make them work?

My proxies look like this format for the most part....

I had the same problem as yours when dealing with CloakFish.

The CloakFish support suggested me to use AutoRotation option as I ordered 15 proxies/mo. The instructions say that I need to enter 127.0.0.1:30000 in Scrapebox Proxy box. At one time, I had it working - but it quits when I run the Scrapebox Ping, causing Scrapebox to lock up.

Then, I switched to free harvested option to access to open proxies and able to use over 350 harvested good proxies to run 125K URL pings for more than 12 hours without any problems. (nice traffic, btw)

If the problems with CloakFish have not been resolved by this week, I will cancel CloakFish for good. Next weekend, I will order exclusive IP proxy services (50 IP addresses) as I see the positive results using Scrapebox and have it run 7x24 on dedicated PC, using paid Google Adsense money.

Please keep in mind that Cloakfish works fine if I use Socket 127.0.0.1:30000 in Firefox Proxy, but not Scrapebox.

First: please make sure you use 127.0.0.1 as proxy IP, your screenshot looks like you entered the external IP which won't work.

Next: With a small trick you can convert SOCKS into HTTP proxies. Scrapebox seems to have an issue with SOCKS + Cloakfish
Instructions and download of the tool here:
First : test it in browser like portalweb said, so you know everything is working
Now activate polipo -> test again (this time as HTTP)
Now enter the polipo proxy into scrapebox, it should work now

Once you've that working you should also give autorotation a try. Instead of starting up 15 proxy processes for scrapebox you can let cloakfish manage the rotation (time based).
Autorotation will speedup your performance a lot and makes cf a lot of easier/faster to use.

I will have the details by tomorrow, as I just transferred Scrapebox license to dedicated computer yesterday (thanks to ScrapeBox support who is helpful).

Cloakfish works well with Scrapbox. The instructions for how to make Cloakfish to use Polipo is not complete.

Here's the quick Instructions for using Cloakfish AutoRotation to work with Scrapebox:

1) Install Polipo in your PC (sorry, Mac or Linux users)
2) Open Explorer (Win-E), go to C:\Program Files\Polipo directory.
3) Copy config to originalconfig. (as backup)
4) Open config file using Notepad (or your favorite text editor).
5) Delete everything in there, and paste this code into config using Notepad:

6) Save it to config file
7) Run Polipo
8) Open CloakFish
9) Make sure that there are no IP addresses in Cloakfish proxy IP addresses list.
10) Click on IP AutoRotation button
11) Follow the simple 5 steps selections as shown here:

12) Wait for 1-2 minutes to allow CloakFish to load the proxy IP addresses to the list.
13) Open Scrapebox
14) Enable "Use Proxies"
15) Enter 127.0.0.1:19000 in Proxy IP address box
16) Spam the Internet using Scrapebox.

Note: I have seen the "We run out of working proxies and aborted the operations" error message when using Ping. I will look into it tonight to find out why this problem occured, as I want to use 16 rotated proxy IP addresses.

One small change:
Do not enable "try only use new IPs"

Your license has 15 IPs, if you enable that option you will only be able to rotate 15 times then autorotation will stop because it has no more IPs left.
Just untick that checkbox again and it will rotate through your 15 IPs over and over again (that's what you want I guess)


One more addition:
Cloakfish can be started using commandline arguments.
If you like you could start Cloakfish and polipo completely automated through a 3-line batch script.
* start cloakfish into autorotation mode
* sleep a minute
* start polipo

Suggestions?

You can add a larger number of proxies to get around that error:
127.0.0.1:30000
127.0.0.2:30000
127.0.0.255:30000
127.0.1.1:30000
127.0.1.2:30000
127.0.1.3:30000

I think that will work, if one is not responsive for a while (or just got rotated during a ping) then Scrapebox marks it as dead and goes to the next.


I don't know about those polipo warnings, but I think they can be ignored, it looks like Scrapebox us using unsupported caching requests that should not result in issues.

No dice. See the screenshot.

The small list I gave you was just an example. You should try make that list really contain about 100 IPs.
I don't know what triggers this problem, Cloakfish is working as you can see on the green lights.
Scrapebox is handling proxies stange I think (also reminds me on the SOCKS problem it has), maybe a large list (like the one you used) solves that issue.

It does not work too well for me (and maybe others).
Until the "HTTP" proxy feature is added to CloakFish Gateway client, CloakFish service is too unreliable for Scrapebox.
Nobody wants to spend hours trying to make it works. Sorry.
