Scrapebox viruses flash scripts and more

I'm a newbie here and I had run SB for 2-3 days now.

So here comes the learning curve ... I did red a lot of stuff on BHW and thanks everyone, it is a goldmine of information and self-learning. I did research in the forums and didn't find a thread which was takling about my concerns.

While running SB I felt on those behaviors:

  • Having FLASH scripts prompts to run or abort;
  • Having viruses alert from my AVG anti-virus software;
  • Having prompts from IE asking to OK to go on another site;

I was wondering how some of you are dealing with those things in order to not have a SB run being stopped halfway while you're sleeping?:D:pirate:

Nope. I haven't had any problems so far in running this. All good till date.

Generally, I just run something like Malwarebytes anti malware at the same time. In theory, it should block connections to sites which are harmful. This obviously means that it will block access to some sites which you might otherwise have posted to, but to be honest, I wouldn't really want my link to be dropped on a site which is listed on a malware list somewhere.
 
nod32 and nothing else. you can sleep like a baby.
 
I'm using Avast free edition and I don't have any problem. If you want to be 100% sure just rent a VPS or run scrapebox in a virtual box.

I would add KIS (Kaspersky Internet Security) to the list as well. I've been using it for several years by now, and have had really little false positives.

I don't think so I have been infected even once with a real virus. I has also a nice 'safe-run' feature.
 
Ive had AVG come up with thread blocked. I contacted Scrapebox and they replied...


This means there was HTML or Javascript on the page that the antivirus software thinks is bad. Sometimes this is a false positive, sometimes it isn?t but that is just a notice the antivirus software blocked the connection to the particular URL. It doesn?t mean anything bad has happened.


 
Use Scrapebox Malware and Phising filter before blasting to URL's ;)
