Scrapebox - Using my own IP?

Hi,

I usually use proxies, but I have a question about using my own IP with SB:

Let's say I have an AA list for SB consisting of a couple thousand or more URL's and I want to post to them over a couple of days or a week. Could I set the fast poster (or use the slow poster?) to just one connection, set the delay to random and then use my own IP? Or would I get blacklisted or whatever this way too?

The best way is to use proxies.
If you have a dedicated IP which changes from time to time, there should be no problem.
But anyway, If the site owners install a plugin likes Akismet, you probably are landing on a blacklist.

I have a static IP. But when I'm using a delay of up to 10s, would that still alert Akismet?

If it's an AA list of a couple thousand, I wouldn't worry about akismet. And the time span that akismet takes into consideration for spamming purposes is way higher than only 10s.

Get proxies.

How have you come to that conclusion? If you're using fast private ones, then it's the same speed as without with the benefit of not getting your own IP blacklisted.

I dont bother with them to post, my IP changes every few months, it is no bother, keeps things fast, not sure I have really seen any negaive issues from it. The only reason I will use any proxy is when I need to scrape.

You mean Dynamic IP here..right?

Well using your IP for auto approved lists are ok if you are using only 1 connection but I better advice to use proxies after all you can get tons of proxies for free.

ProxyGo (a member here) share them for like free on every other day!! Then why to move like a snail?? Be a "bazooka" man!!

You are much more likely to simply have your domain blocked by a plug in such as akismet than you are to have your IP address blocked. Even then, such a block would only have any effect on that particular domain. No proxy, by its very nature, can be as fast or effective as simply not using one.

Like Drink More tea, I think that proxies are good for harvesting but you can post on blogs without them.
For harvesting, it's necessary. Without them, you would have a captcha very quickly.
