I'm trying to use Scrapebox to help find a site which I might be interested in buying, but it needs to meet several criteria first...

    1) Be a wordpress or standard HTML site
    2) Be ranked on page 3 (or beyond) of Google for my selected keyword terms
    3) Have an opt-in box present on the site.

The first two items are easy to setup in Scrapebox. It's the last one I'm having trouble with. How do I scan for specific string of code in Scrapebox?

    Thanks,

    Greg

    1) Use a classic WordPress footprint.
    2) Limit results to 300 results in ScrapeBox.
    3) Too hard to get accurate footprints in my opinion...

    Try this footprint:

    Code:
"enter your email address to subscribe" +"name" +"email" +"spam"
    with WP.

Might return some good results. Not sure, not tried.

I think that may be too specific a string. I'd prefer something targetting aweber optins, but not so specific that it relies upon the text being exactly as written above. I have the code I need, but can't figure out how to make it work with Scrapebox.

    Code is as follows:

    Code:
    <script type="text/javascript" src=
This would be followed by an aweber url which I'm unable to post due to account restrictions.

Any idea as to how to make Scrapebox search code?

Scrape a lot of sites, and save them.

    Set SB to "Check Links".

    In Websites.txt, add

    Code:
    <script type="text/javascript" src=your code
    Load the blog list.

    Run it.

SB will return all URLs that contain that particular piece of code.

Yes, "Check Links" function is a check string function.

    Matrix,

Thanks for your reply. I'm not as skilled w/ using Scrapebox as some. However, I've been through every option in there multiple times and don't see how to do what you outlined here. Would you mind going into a little more detail? I'd be very grateful.

    Much appreciated... -Greg

Okay I'll explain a little more.

    1. Scrape a lot of WP blogs
    2. Save them as a file (say list.txt).
    3. In SB, choose, "Check Links" (right left to "Test Comments" button.
    4. In Blog list, open the file you saved (list.txt).
    5. In Websites, open Websites.txt but make sure websites.txt contains the following code:

    Code:
    <script type="text/javascript" src=your code
    6. Click "Check Links" button and it will start finding those blogs from the list.txt that contain the code.
