Scrapebox Situation

I bought SB yesterday... I watched all of the videos. Im trying to harvest free proxies. None of them work. I tried some from a site that showed they work but not for me. I have only a 1 MB connection. What should my settings be? When you buy proxies, and you start using them. Lets say i buy one. As soon as I use it wont it get banned for scrapping by google? :confused:

Hi there,

If you had watched all the vids on scrapebox, you'd soon realise that you get public proxies for the hard work and use the private proxies for commenting, pr checks etc.

If you bought one, then yes, it would be ip banned in no time, thats the idea of scrapebox, you set in many proxies and it loops through them alternatively.

You can scrape proxies, though it just sounds like you're having a few teething issues as a newb with scrapebox. Look around here and pop into the proxies section and you will learn plenty.

There are many folk here that sell public and private proxies, you just need to know the right way to use them, and when.

Read around for a bit and watch a few more tutorials and I would bet it will start to come together.
 
public to harvest, private to post.
if you can't find public proxies, then you're not trying hard enough, re-watch video's to learn.
if you still say you can't get good public proxies, then you're really not trying.

There's a guy on here who has a free proxy service that has been reviewed pretty highly. I haven't used it yet, but I may in the future. I have private proxies and what I've been doing seems to be working well. In the short term, there are people constantly posting free proxy lists here. Use the search function, take advantage and then pay it forward later by posting a resource you yourself find outside of the forum. Best of luck.

If you have 1 Megabit connection then you need to go with Private Proxies
 
well i tried some of the fresh proxie lists but SB says theyre no good. Let me ask this question again... If i buy a proxy for posting / scraping, wont it get banned rather quickly ? This is what i dont really get. Lets say i buy a proxy for a monthly fee, when it stops working do they just assign me another one ?
 
You need multiple private proxies for posting / PR checking. I'd say at least 20. SB will cycle through them so that each one doesn't get picked up as spamming the engines too heavily.

wow 20... aint that rather costly ?
 
Have you upgraded your SB to the latest version? The new harvester lets you add your own sources to search for public proxies, works like a charm! It takes a while to gather and test them, but you should be able to easily get 50-80 good public proxies that will last you to scrape a decent size list to post to.

You can use those for posting, but if you get say 10 private proxies for posting - that will work fine, too.

Just remember that you need to re-check your (public) proxies after any larger jobs - they do tend to "burn" rather quickly

Yea it can be, but you gotta spend money to make money bro. You can get away with less if you aren't heavily abusing SB, though personally I wouldn't go below 20 as after all the point of SB is to either do heavy research or for spamming the shit out of things.
 
Talsin is correct, though as you're relatively new to SB, I would just buy 10 for posting and get a load of public for scraping and if you need more, just grow it from there.

Heck you could even use the public ones for posting, whilst your getting the hang of it, though success levels will be hampered.

No need to spend lots, just increase your spends as and when required, and as you grow with using the product.

yes when i click update, it says im using the latest version.
