OP, there is only one Scrapebox to buy, the one promoted in the bst thread here. Yes you should buy it if you're even remotely serious about seo. As far as plugins, read up about what they do and buy them if/when you have a need for them. I personally own everything except the Yelp plugin.

I can attest that Scrapebox and GSA Ranker are great tools and the thing about it is when both came out I found out about them from BHW,including BHW discounts but really anything that comes out that's worth it,you'll find out here!

Scrapebox is good piece of program it's usefull for other purposes then doing SEO stuff only.

And gsa is purely related to SEO.

Also don't forget those tools are not able to work alone there are some other supporting services you will be needing for them.

Like proxies,captcha,vps(optional) etc.

May be he was referring to the V2 of Scrapebox that was released a while back on their website.
