I am on VPS with XSServer.com . I have 1 Gb ram plan. I know many ppl on BHW have their Scrapebox hosted with same company. I would like to know what setting do you use for scrapebox. My Scrapebox is freezing if i leave it alone to check posted links or do any operations.

    Please tell the following Settings

    1. Fast poster timeout & connections
    2. Harvesting timeout & connections
    3. Link Checking Connections

I am running only one instance of scrapebox, so please suggest settings for Max usage of VPS without crashing scrapebox. I am on windows 2008.

Also would like to know how to resume failed scrapebox blast using files created by "crash Dump logger" . It created 3 files, what is the significance??

    Thanks in advance

50 generally seems to be the magic number in terms of connections. Anything else and I find it unreliable and prone to freeze. You can check server usage in the server manager diagnostics.

xsserver has recently improved a lot, previously it used to disconnect all the time and freeze constantly. now, it's a lot more stable.

fast poster timeout 30 secs i use, 30-50 connections. the difference in urls/s between 30 and 50 connections is very small, it always goes to around 280 urls/s average. harvester 50 connections, link checker 30 connections.

Quick tip: the connection at xsserver is generally 10 mbps. When you harvest with one instance of SB, you use about 3 mbps average with 30 connections. Now, since harvesting takes relatively little RAM, you can run two instances of SB and harvest using 30 connections, and effectively get double, without any impact to the speed of the other instance harvesting. Do not, however, harvest and fast post at the same time, your server might freeze. But double harvesting is a nice little trick. Don't double harvest with 50 x 2 connections, do 30 x 2 - the speed will be no different really.

How many instances are you running? Did you try different lists? Because if the lists are not in a proper format SB tends to freeze. Check that once. This applies the URLs you put in the websites section also .

If its freezing as soon as start try doing the following things:

    1. Stop any other process running using the task manager
    2. Use Ccleaner
    3. If nothing works reboot the VPS ( this for some reason has always worked for me :D )

some blogs would cause SB to freeze. i am running 2 instances of SB, each one with 20 connections and not more than 200,000 blog list to post. this is stable for me but sometimes it hangs.

the most stable is 4 connections per instance.

Hm, that's weird. Cause I'm on like a 4Mbps connection (which is pretty slow compared to you guys).

I set SB to 100 connections for Fast Poster and no problemo. But I have only been blasting to other people's Auto Approve blog list, not the ones I find myself.

Running on 10 private proxies (SquidProxies).

Using my own PC to do it btw.

Just try to go in task manager and go in process. Right click on scrapebox, exe and set priority to real time. Sometimes it automatically changes to High instead of realtime. Default is normal.

Check, if this helps? Becoz i am using the same server and always run scrapebox in admin account, give all privileges to scrapebox and never run other stuff with it when its in posting mode so that it gets all CPU and Memory it needs. I am using 512 MB RAM, WIN 2003.

Please provide me your server IP if you are only getting 10mbit.

Just bumping this because as of today I'm now running SB on XSServer.

As the thread hasn't been updated in a couple of months, can anybody update/add their settings which they are using, which is working well?

I'm on the Windows VPS 3 package:
    2.60Ghz CPU
    1GB Ram

I tried 300 connections on Fast Poster and Scrapebox stopped responding.

Weird. It's been working fine for me, even with big lists (300,000 or more).

I can even run Xrumer at the same time, but I think at the point, I'm limited by the connection speed.

I do have Tweet Adder running too, so maybe that's why.

I did another run with 200 connections, which completed fine - just short of 50,000 URLs.

I think I'll do a few tests to check what the best number is.
