Yes, I'm reading the entire site dedicated to scrapebox, but haven't found this..

I'm new, and just tried to harvest some proxies.. Ran the whole test, 3000 proxies tested, about an hour, filtered it all down.... 1 freaking good proxy, actually started to laugh...

Questions?

1) Is that fairly normal to waste a good chunk of time for a small amount of public proxies?

2) I have read to use harvested Proxies to scrape, (See, told you I'm reading) and private to blast.. Can I just toss in 10-20 privates for both? Will that last me a month, or will both ways (Harvest/Blast) eat them up? I want to do a monthy subscription of say 25 private proxies,..

You can use private proxies to scrape. The only problem is they might ban your proxy ip if you scrape too much. What you could do is use a couple for scraping and the other ones to blast. I know what you mean about using the public ones. Most are dead cause everybody on bhw is using em. lol
 
Cool, so if I got say 25, I can use 12 to harvest, then the other 12 to blast?

Funny thing is, I was watching a video on how to harvest, and the guy in the video only had like 1800 proxies and he pulled like 17 good ones.. I saw I got 3000, I was like "yeah" I'm gonna kill on public proxies......ONE!!! LOL
 
Here is a tip... if your scraping links with privates, uncheck google and your good to go :) google is the one which burns your proxies.
 
I won't use private proxies for scraping if I were you. Sure if you have a lot of proxies to spare, you could use some. I normally use privates for blog commenting.

For harvesting, there are some decent proxies in the Proxies section of BHW being updated regularly. Many of these do work for harvesting. And if you haven't already, check out the video on how to get proxies for SB by loopline.

Ya, as of probably the last 4 or 5 months the proxies via Sbox have been utter shit. It used to have around 300+ that were good to go after running it through the harverster. Now you only get a handful.

I'd recommend finding some services on here for public proxies for harvesting as others have mentioned, then find some good private proxies for posting.

Keep in mind that you'll have to consider things like bandwidth on your proxies if you intend to use them frequently. Most providers have bandwidth limits. There are some tips and tricks that you'll need to keep in mind if you have bandwidth limits.
 
It's not that easy, scrapebox is not some magic "do it good" button. You need different proxy sources. You think all "default" sb users can use same 3000 proxies daily? Get some tool that leaches proxies, save a list, test it. Also public proxies may die every second, so it's not efficient at all. But for getting the home IP G ban, is around 10k urls. I like to crush this student's housing net. Already got twitter IP ban for us lol :)
 
I always get 10-80 good public Proxies on SB. You have to harvest Proxies each time before you want to do anything. And then repeat every few hours.
Testing 3000 Proxies takes a few minutes on my machine though. Maybe 10-20, but not an hour.
 
i got to look into opening more threads then, computers fine, i think i have it on default
