Scrapebox Question: When do I use the delay function?

Sorry for the noob question but... Do I have to use the delay function when posting comments through private proxies or is that not necessary? Thanks guys!

The Delay is only used while Harvesting, Pagerank, Ping mode and Email grabber.
And yes, it works with both public and private proxies.

Thanks! Should I be using Random Delay? It just seems like it takes a long time (even with random delay set on minimum 1-2 min settings) to do some tasks.
