I use proxygo's service. One time fee and daily proxies. There is a thread here with info if you do a search.

I have private proxies (about 15) and I don't use them. I just use the ones from the sources I mentioned, which are all free.

Free are public, which means you, me, and your grandmother have access to them. They don't tend to be around for long, so you need to get new ones every day.

Private means only you have access to them. But you have to pay or them. You usually pay for them for a month, and so they last for 30 days, then you get new ones (usually)

Your IP is protected with either kind of proxy, but you are still using bandwidth. SB can be a bandwidth hog, and you might hit your ISP's usage cap. I recently switched from comcast to comcast business class because it removes the 250bg/month limit that all residential customers have. and its the same cost! ($59/month)

every kind of link is spam in a way (at least from marketers), and big G knows about all of them. just diversify your links and you can still use SB on your main site. if it was that easy to get sandboxed, more people would be targeting them competition with SB blasts.

Thanks, I didn't even consider the BW usage with comcast, which I also have. I will definitely look into the business class.

Thanks again for your reply! Good stuff

What? Public proxies are faster?

Man, would you care to share your proxy sources?

I'm assuming more proxies means more connections, which means faster posting. That may be incorrect though...maybe I don't need to limit connections to, say, 50 with 10 private proxies.

I'll test it and get back to you guys. I'll test 10 private against 400 public proxies at 50, 200, and 400 connections and see which one finishes first and with how many successful posts using fast poster.

Hey dfwebs - did you ever do this testing? I am real curious as to your results. I don't have any private proxies yet but have been considering getting some. I would like to know if it will really help?

Thanks

If you want Scrapebox to be really efficient, the best is to get private proxies. Moreover you won't loose time anymore to check an recheck everyday public proxies.

I use a little bit SB and 10 (about 3$ each/month) are enough for me.

for users who harvest large key word searches
its always a good idea to use private proxies to
post - public proxies to scrape, because if all u
have is a few private proxies, google will temp
block them for 2/3 hours after big scrapes
then u cant do anything.
yes its true public proxies suck at posting ok
for scraping provided the sources u get them from
arnt over used or there rubbish as well. most people
can get 100 or so to scrape with, providers can get
3-500 to scrape with. but if u port scan proxies as well
to scrape with its a whole new ball game. proxies un tapped
mostly not even indexed. all i can say is there's plenty of
google proxies out there.

If you have lots of reasonable public proxies you can increase the number of succesful posts you get BUT they still don't compare to private proxies for posting!

Scraping however is a lot better and faster if you have a large number of good public proxies! Plus for PR checking you can use public proxies instead of wasting the private ones.

I use public proxies only, usually I get about 100-200 working ones and use 30-40 threads (depending on the number of proxies).

Success rate is between 60% and 75%, depending on the list. Speed about 7500 blogs per hour.

:)You could try the following:
Proxy Finder Enterprise Edition V2.50
I have used it on SB! You can try it.In 10 seonds, it will get thousands of public proxy server addresses. There is "free" versions on google search results!

I am using 10 from Your private proxy, works like a charm and it costs me about 30USD per month...

10 private proxies for productive posting and 200-300 public proxies for everything else like scraping or test blasts...

I use the "new" proxy harvester in scrapebox and added some proxy sites to harvest from.

For:

Scraping and harvesting i use proxygo's 700 per day service. They just copy and paste into scrapebox, with no need to test. You can't complain about a one time fee of $75

Posting I use 50 private proxies. I swap these out every 3 months.

Although I haven't used other private proxies, I am satisfied with mazgalici private proxies.

They always make the difference when I use comment or trackback module.

I keep the shared ones for scraping, pr check..

And yes there is a big difference when posting with shared and with private ones.
