ScrapeBox - Proxies question

Hi,

I'm considering private proxies for my SB use, I just wanted to get some input from others who do this already.

I do know the advantages, or what the advantages are supposed to be, of using private proxies - but I'm doing pretty well right now with public proxies

Here's my experience with public proxies...
- I gather quite a few from all over, throw them through an online checker and pull out the ones that are not good or really slow.
- I don't use the SB checker as it always say's they're dead, even if they're working.. maybe I'm screwing something up there.
- I then do all the usual stuff - harvesting, alive check, blog analyser then posting, followed by checking.
- for me, I use fast poster, I get what I think is a decent success rate, not sure what people expect, but checking a few failed manually hits moderated blogs or similar etc, so the result seems right.
- My comments are quite heavily spun and always read well.
- After a period of use, I grab the proxy list from SB, throw it through the same online checker and prune out the dead ones. (maybe getting a few top-ups if needed)
- I do much of this in the background, checking in and kicking off the next phase etc through time, I'm getting many links to my sites and buffer sites, profile pages etc
(higher PR stuff I post manually to get better results)
- I do get some proxies getting burned, but never really hurt the task

basically, I'm picking brains of others - what will I gain using private proxies, as public have seemed to be ok so far
I am using SB everyday, so paying for private proxies if it's worth it is not an issue.

Is it a speed increase (that would be my most noticable benefit I think), or is it a higher success rate, or just saving time by not harvesting and checking - or all of the above

Having never used private proxies, I'm unsure if the benefit is slight or huge from what I get already?

It is all of the above...but let me clarify for you a little more.

When SB is posting a comment to a site, it picks a proxy, and attempts to submit the comment. If the proxy is dead, it DOES NOT try again with another proxy, it simply marks that as a failed submission.

Public proxies are notoriously unreliable. A proxy that was up literally one second ago, could be down for 3 seconds, that back up again, and so on and so forth.

Using public proxies, you'll NEVER get an accurate failed/success ratio (in terms of submissions) because it is an absolute guarantee that you're getting sites marked as failed when they should have been successful, but weren't because the proxy SB tried to use at the moment it went to submit a comment was down.

Also, it is very likely that you're using more connections than you have proxies. So (for example), if you have 10 public proxies, and you're submitting comments at 50 connections at a time, that means at any given moment each proxy has 5 connections running through it. For every second one proxy is down, you're automatically getting 5 failed submissions...10 seconds goes by, and you've got 50 failed submissions...see what I'm saying?

There is also a HUGE speed increase. Lets say you have your submission timeout set to 30 seconds in the settings. Maybe one of your proxies has a latency of 35 seconds...well, those 5 connections running through that one proxy are going to have to wait the full 30 seconds, because the proxy hasn't reported back as "dead" yet, so SB waits....then when it finally hits that 30 second mark, it immediately marks those 5 sites it was trying to submit a comment to as failed (even though the proxy isn't dead, it is just too slow).

You get tremendous speeds.
Public proxies are over used hence they are blacklisted in many spam filters...

I`m also a scrapebox and use shared proxy`s(i used private in the past but dont have the money for them right now) and they`re ok but with private proxy`s u get so much more... First of all they dont die fast like public proxy`s they are much more stable and fast, i would buy some but they are pretty expensive and since i dont have the budget right now i use shared, but if you have the money you should buy some..... you will not be disappointed.

They are just as fast & reliable as YPP (yourprivateproxies) and MUCH cheaper. (alright, they are a LITTLE slower than YPP's, but nothing you'll notice).

I've tried private proxies. I didn't find them that much more reliable.

I would rather use 300 public proxies than 10 private proxies. It might be 10-20% less successful, but it is 10 times fast, so you are still getting more successful posts per hour.

Someone above said that if a proxy is down, SB calls it a fail. I personally question that. I know the harvester just chooses another proxy from the list, so it would make sense that the poster does too. He may be right, but I would have to look into it before I agreed.

This might be noobish questions, but why should I use a proxy at all? What problems could I face if I would use the IP provided by my internetprovider?

Your ip gets banned by spam filters so some blog automaticly refuse your comment. And i heard you can get disconected from isp, because it's against their tos... But i think using own ip is not that bad ....

try to use private proxy...
