I had a budget for stuff to buy, i chose to buy an article writer, a spinner, and scrapebox. So far i love scrapebox, although i have only just finished my first run and therefore cant see any results yet, i encountered one problem.

I have used up my budget, and therefore can not buy private proxies - I decided to use some free ones. I harvested about 50k and about 100 were working in the checker. When i tried to harvest google it said "IP Blocked". Is this because google has blocked this ip? or just that its a bad proxy?

I would appreciate some help, and if anyone uses free proxies for scrapebox please can you share? I have tried a blog made by a user here with lots of proxies and its nice but they dont work (IP Blocked error).

Thanks :)

Well although i have not ever used Scrapebox but i know bit about proxies specially public ones lets say you have leeched 50K proxies and only 100 are alive(Green) for some reason those ips are not good enough to post the links.

  1. ip is either in blacklist of ASKIMET
  2. too slow to post url
  3. instantly died out
and many other factors that's what i think

Use scrapebox proxie harvester, you won't harvest 50k proxies, but you'll get just as many good ones without spending all that time checking them. Run the tester over and over until you filter out all the bad ones. Do it everytime you use scrapebox, they don't stay good for long.

The proxies that scrapebox finds for you get hit pretty hard and do not last long, Google especially blocks them pretty quick. If you cannot pay for proxies then look at some of the free proxy sites and load all the ones you find into scrapebox along with the ones scrapebox finds. Test them then use them right away. You will have to do this at least once or twice a day as a general rule.

yeah, i used ones from free online sites and have not used the proxy scraper. I will give it a go - thanks :)

Okay i used the proxy scraper in scrapebox, and i have got about 8 that are working (at the moment). Thanks, i didn't realize that feature existed :)

Just a tip - keep trying the proxy scraper. It refreshes on a regular basis, so scraping more than once throughout the day is actually worth it if you're going to use them. That said, yes, also run them through the tester after scraping them

peace - gregs.
