scrapebox proxie tester

ok it seems a few people are complaining that the
scrapebox proxie checker doesn't work.
first of all nothing is 100% reliable when testing against
google - but - the proxie tester works.
b4 we start make sure scrapebox is upto date first



then do the following

first of all goto options - make sure there isnt a check
mark against > use new proxy harvester <
i prefer the old 1 i find it works better for me option is found
here



next is the timout setting for testing proxies, by default it should
be 45.00s if it isnt theres 2 reasons why. 1 you changed it.
2 you havnt updated scrapebox to the latest version.
adjust to 45.00s. how to change?
goto settings > adjust time out settings > proxy harvester time out 45
press apply / ok if you asked to



next set the amount of proxies to be tested on your connection
the faster your connection the higher you go, for safest results set on
aprox 15-30 to do this click on
settings > adjust maximum connections > proxy harvester slider to 15/30
press apply / ok if asked to



finaly goto settings > set multi thread harvester to 4
this is the ammount of times s/box with test a proxie
to see if its live

if after all this you still cant get any working public
proxies theres only 1 reason [ YOUR SOURCES ]
last year i could get 1.5k passed the google check
this year its down to 300 + for me and i scrape for
a living - so it will be harder for you guys,
like me - have to work for them.

and the 7 links in scrapebox are a freebie there over saturated
which means u have to find your own links to leech from
or pay people to do it for you

@proxygo Thanks for the wonderful information you have shared here. I have said thank and given you a rep. I get all kinds of proxies and SB kills them when I test them. I am going to subscribe to Private Server and see if that makes a difference. The speed of my internet nowadays is pretty bad. I have tried everything else. I am running out of options.

I've seen very similar results from November/Dec->Now.
It's reassuring to know it's not just me.

I have also noticed a large drop in SOCKS proxies? The number of HTTP proxies seems to be relatively stable.

ive seen the opposite
the amount of public http proxies
passing the google check in scrape box
has dropped from 1-1.5k i was getting last
summer down to 3-400 or so this year
http are wayyyyy down
socks i dont bother with

in my experience proxies with 5k+ ms response time are totally useless in SB..high response time means the proxy not stable, easy to lose packets

i have been using SB for less than 24 hours and i believe it is worth every $

hey, thanks. I used to have reasonable success using the built in sources but the past couple times I tried I was getting none at all that passed the tests.

I adjusted my settings as described above (every single setting I had was different than what you recommend) and here's my results:
4945 proxies retrieved
remove failed: 76
remove duplicate: 48
filter out high latency > 2000ms : 20
second pass of testing, same as above left me with 4 good working proxies. I used to get more, but that was a while ago.

Nevermind, I'm stupid. Can someone delete this?

That doesnt look to bad i have to be honest.

Look a little cluttered though.

@Proxygo...I really appreciate it the information because this is only my third day using SB and everytime I used it most proxies would fail and leave me with like 1 or 2 working ones.

But I just adjusted my settings as you illustrated and so far I have a list of 4826 and 47 good proxies and counting!

if your using the 7 sources provided by scrapebox
dont - there a freebie only to get u started u cant rely
on thoes 7 links because everyone else is using them
making them garbage - to run s/box properly you need
at least 10 private proxies to post with and fresh public
proxies everyday to url scrape with wich you can find by
hunting google - proxie sites - custom foot print in s/box
or getting some1 to do it for you
