I've harvested 1145 proxies using Scrapebox, when I test the proxies they all fail.

Could my firewall be blocking this traffic or is it something else?

just tested and got 123 working proxy out of 877

just harvested and tested:
Harvested 4752
Working:610
after filtering hight letency :2000ms
brought outt 286 good proxies

just try restarting it and see what happens

well I also have this problem and think that scrapebox allready have this proxys in program, and after they are dead they dont scrape anymore, so private proxys is needed, I have scraped more then 6000 proxys and 600 where good, after this it scrapes the same proxys and give no new ones, this is the same on both of my licenes programs, so it starts to smell...:(

Search google for proxies and find sites that are constantly updating their proxy lists, then add those sites to proxy sources in scrapebox.

Never rely on public proxies always. Go for private proxies. If you are still looking for public proxies check "hide my ass" site. It's a one time payment and they will send you public proxy list everyday. I usually get a around 200 public proxies with low latency rate after filtering the list with SB.

I've decided to buy 10 private proxy's, I'm not really sure how many I'll need for comment posting, any recomendations?

Thanks.

I just tested the proxies on SB and it's working on my end. However, if you really want to be effective with SB and other automation software as well, you absolutely must have a good source of private proxies.

I'm actually surprised that the SB gives out as many good proxies as it does with the amount of people using the same free proxies every day. Plus, you have to consider that a lot of the people that are too lazy to invest in good proxies probably are too lazy to learn how to use the tool correctly which adds even more proxy abuse.

Having a good source of your own proxies - private and even free - will help you out a lot.

How is the ratio of good proxies to bad proxies now? I seem to get 1 good proxy out of every 300 harvested from the default list, is it just me?

Thought I'd add my question to this thread - don't mean to hijack the thread. When I Harvest proxies in scrapebox, before testing I remove duplicate proxy ips, but if I keep clicking on "cleanup" + "remove duplicates proxies" it just removes about 30 at a time, each time I click on it. Why is that? Why does it keep removing 30 proxies each time I click on it??? Shouldn't it just remove all duplicates when I click on it once and then not delete anything each time I click on it after that???

well im still averaging around 7-900 good proxies
but from my own urls leeched then re tested in
scrapebox - so no issues here

the 7 links in scrapebox are a freebie there not
a long term solution
u have to find/get your own by looking
or buying

You better post without any proxies... The public proxies are so much spammed and they will ring all the bells on askiment

The goodness of proxies depends on where you got them from. You can also try out those selling public proxies. Those ones are from different places not available through scrapebox. That will give you the opportunity to get more working proxies that will make you enjoy you blog commenting.
