    Ok, so I bought Scrapebox like a half a year ago... got results blah blah blah, well I just booted it up again (took a break hehe) and it just closes... when I run the updater, it says there is one available and would I like to update which I choose yes... and nothing again.

    I don't think I really did anything but I did remove that whole folder and re-install it and the same results. I checked the FAQ on the main site but to no avail. Has anyone else heard of this issue? Or am I going to have to email the support?

    It may be your computer. Try defragmenting it and check to make sure that your OS has been updated.

    I am just running mine and everything seems to be fine. Did you just install a firewall or new anti virus. It could be something on your computer.

    Mine is running good, too. Maybe you can remove it completely and go to the homepage to download, and re-activate it

    Hmm since then I installed Kaspersky... but its supposedly off right now, turn it off when im trying to run strange things rofl... could that be possibly F'in it up? If so I could unistall it, or maybe find out how to add this to exceptions or something but I would assume it would popup or something to warn me about the program but oh well.

    Other than that i think I tried everything else I will double check though, thanks for all the replies I appreciate the assistance!

    What's your OS?

    It could also be a spy cookie. Try deleting all of your cookies, if your Antivirus doesn't pick up on it. You should have at least 10 of them in some file on your computer. That's what comes with IM.

    Well... will CCleaner get rid of any cookies you are talking about? Cause I tried this to no avail also =/

    I would find a program to clean your registry i find after bad infestations your registry is corrupt up the wazoo. if your computer had an extremely harmful virus, a lot of them can damage system files and the only way to repair is reinstall.

    Why do people bother so much with scraping programs.....

    Here is mine for free (your lucky I'm drinking)....

    PHP:
    <?
    set_time_limit(0);
    if(isset(
    $_POST[must]) || isset($_POST[inurl]) || isset($_POST[can])){
    function
    curl($url){

    $ch curl_init();

    curl_setopt($chCURLOPT_URL,$url);

    curl_setopt($chCURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER1);

    curl_setopt($chCURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION1);

    $data curl_exec ($ch);

    //    $data = file_get_contents($url);

    return $data;
    }
    ////BUILD THE GOOGLE URL

    if (isset($_POST[must]) && $_POST[must] !==""){

    $must_box $_POST[must];

    $must str_replace(" ","+","\"".$_POST[must]."\"");
    }else{

    $must "";
    }
    if (isset(
    $_POST[inurl]) && $_POST[inurl] !==""){

    $inurl "+inurl%3A".$_POST[inurl];
    }else{

    $inurl "";
    }
    if (isset(
    $_POST[can]) && $_POST[can] !==""){

    $can "+".$_POST[can];
    }else{

    $can "";
    }
    $url "http://www.google.com/search?q=".$must.$inurl.$can."&num=100&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&start=";
    ////END OF GOOGLE URL BUILD
    echo $url;
    //GET DATA URLS
    for($i=0;$i<3;$i+=100){
    $data curl($url.$i);
    //echo $data;

    preg_match_all('/a href=\"(.*?)\" class=\"l\"/'$data$matches);

    Ahh, well after the registry problems weren't it I emailed supprt... they had me setup in an hour it was a .sys file called ntice.sys from a debugging program I installed a while back which it would shutdown if it had the file on the system.

    So if anyone else is getting this error check in your system drivers folder for this file.

    Thanks for the help everyone!

    It doesn't just scrape though it posts comments and a multitude of other things such as pinging ETC. so its really an all purpose tool, not just scraping but thanks for sharing the script!
