ScrapeBox Link Checker Using 100% CPU?

Hi there,

Have been running quite a lot of links through the link checker recently and it seems that as soon as I start the link checker (it does not matter how many connections I set it to) the PCU goes to 100% for a lot of the time.

Every so often it drops a bit and bounces around, but for the most part it is always at 90%. It isn't so bad, but when running multi instances of SB, this really starts to be a problem. Does anyone else have a similar experience, or perhaps, a resolution?

For me its the thing when you export the result. I am trying to export a list of url that it successfully commented on. (30k) but its taking ages(10mins till now and not done)
 
Maybe your AV is scanning the http traffic.
For me, it does not even go above 1%, most of the time it stays at 0

I think you might be right. I'm pretty sure I have AVG and I think it is scanning all of the traffic. Is there a more efficient way to process this, so it does not take 100% but at the same time protects me?

Download something like eset. It scans your traffic yet still protecting you. (It has one of the lowest memory usage in all AV).
 
Well I have AVG Free right now on the VPS I am using and it also does the whole 'live scan' thing - do you know if eset will be better for this purpose?
 
Got rid of AVG and now have no virus protectors on and it is still at 100% most of the time!? Any idea on how to fix this? It's not good :(

I will try this right after current task is done. Pretty sure I have the latest, but will see soon! :)

Also, now my AV is gone completely so I don't think it is an issue.

EDIT: Latest version was already installed :(

What firewall or other security apps are you using?
I myself just use the default windows firewall and MSE, and have no issue.
 
Well I'm using a Windows server 2008 O/S on a VPS. I had AVG installed for a bit but now just recently un-installed it so now I have nothing, other than the presumable Windows firewall (which I have not altered any settings).

The VPS I am on is a quad core, but when I go into task manager, I can only see 'one' core, usually you would see all 4? Thus maybe the VPS only gave me one core to work with, and SB is maxing this 1 core when performing the link checker.
 
Scrapebox let tons of checked tasks cached. Comodo wasn't helping either. My prime PC is my bread and butter so I've moved SB to another machine with no AV only Windows FW. Dual Core, Windows 7, 6Gb Ram... Running smoothly!

Do you have a spare machine?

I don't have a spare machine. I'm just getting started with all of this and am using what I have. I only use my current vps with scrapebox only so I honestly don't understand why this is happening.
 
o_O Hope you can solve it. But I'd put some effort on another PC. Don't need to be some I7 5820K 16Gb Hyperx.
