When checking my links with scrapebox's link checker, some links come up as "Error 404". What does this mean?

404 is for Page Not Found. The link is wrong or the server is down

reduce your list on a max. of maybe 15-25 entries

Shouldn't matter a 404 is a server side error.

that or it's one of the proxies you are using thats acting up, if you have proxies enabled. turn em off before link checking and see if the 404 get less.

I find that I can't get this to work as I can't load my sites. Any reason? Really need this link checker. Are there any alternatives?
