Hello, I just got scrapebox and I want to be very careful. How many successful comments is advised? 100's or is 10's better? (per day)

How old is your site? There are quite a few case studies around that provide a nice insight on how you can use scrapebox and how it can help a new site.
Using some of the great add on's that come with scrapebox, you could always find some nice sites with a high PR and post your link to them manually. Sometimes a few links on sites with a nice PR are better than a 1000 links on spammed sites.

I am still not convinced all the nofollow links that it mainly gets you actually help you.

Don't just use Scrapebox for auto blasting links to your site - use it for finding high PR properties where you can post manually. These links will carry more weight as they're generally not on blogs that have been spammed to within an inch of their life!
The quality of links is more important than the quantity of links.
