Yesterday I started using Scrapebox, harvested a a few thousand blogs, and posted on them. Only about 300 were posted, and I doubt they were all accepted. I used free proxies, and some were working.

Today, I search "link:sitename.com"

and I get .. Results 1 - 8 of 8 linking to sitename.com.

I had about 900, now only 8?
Is that temporary? Or should I stop using Scrapebox? :/

PS. I also used http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/black-hat-seo/172536-guide-get-33k-backlinks-using-scrapebox-without-commenting-updated-bigger-list-feb-18-a.html thread's list, but I didn't use the full 33k, only about a quarter of it + the 5k list.

I'd edit the URL as some people here may try to compete with you or steal your ideas.

That being said, Be patient on G. Wait a week or 2. Keep building links, just do it slowly for a bit.

yahoo shows you at 99 domain backlinks and 124 site.

More importantly , the Gewg still has you indexed. You are fine. Those links will show up.

Yeah don't worry, Big G doesn't show all the backlinks anyways. So far Yahoo will give you an accurate number of backlinks at the moment!

honestly you are making a rookie mistake
Big G is smart you just have to try a different way
get a redirected url like a few .tks
and blast them not your actual url!

What if I'm blog commenting? Should I only do the redirecting with the Rapid Indexer?

Google will never show all of your links. I don't even bother looking at my sites links anymore.. who cares how many show up in some search.

Give it some time, remember this is JUST A TOOL, not a "overnight instant results answer to all my problems" tool.

Continue to work on your sites SEO, continue to scrape, and find decent lists.

Work on the comment quality to ensure they stick.

Create projects, matching your @domains.com with the type of blogs your posting to. (ie. on a military blog, ensure your @domain is .gov, .mil, navy.mil, etc..)

Be creative and scrapebox will surely increase your backlinks and SERPS.

Well you can link launder thru other sites with both rapid indexer and blog commenting, as well as RSS feeds etc..

Its a concept more then anything. You just don't want to have a spamish link footprint. If in doubt run all your links thru redirects or like web 2.0 sites.

I would always make sure you have a solid site if you blast the main site. Like make sure it has the basic stuff covered (press releases, directory submissions, links from other sites in general, social bookmarks etc...). Also if a site has been around for a while thats always a good thing.

Are you sure you were having 900 links from link:sitename.com or you had seen from a 3rd party site like backlinkwatch and all??

Google search: Results 1 - 10 of about 900 it would usually say.

My guess is you posted to a popular blog with "recent posts"-addon. You made an successful post and this way your backlink appeared at 900 pages of that blog. Since the moment other 10 peoples posted to that blog your comment came out of the "recent posts" and you only had one backlink at this blog...

To be honest, I never blogged post until I got Scrapebox, and the 900 results were before I even got Scrapebox! :)

Ok, so I misunderstood you... But I dont know why your links should vanish...

Yeah, it's fine! I'm also unsure, but yeah. I mean I sound like I'm blaming my tool for this, and I shouldn't. I mean if Scrapebox was capable of doing this, we can just use it on our competitors. I'm just unsure to as of why it happened.

Interesting. Been curious to tryout Scrapebox though. Still seems like a good tool to use.

It's the best tool imo, maybe It's just badluck.

Agreed, the only thing in the same ball park is xrumer. Sbox is a steal. I mean tools that are almost useless can cost a couple hundred, at $57 its like taking candy from a baby.

Just check periodically. Depends on how much the site is indexed. They will show up eventually. You'll see this advice in about every other thread in BHW. Standard advice.
