Scrapebox in 2020?

Hi,

Planning to buy Scrapebox so I can find forums/blogs in my niche. I'm planning to use it to find the sites only. no intention of making backlinks through it. Will make the backlinks manually once I double check the site quality.

For finding backlink opportunities which tool you use currently? Am I missing anything? I have used gsa ser in the past but I think Scrapebox will be more useful in finding new sites.

What do you say?

Just to check each website manually if its good or not.
 
As long as you have the footprints for the sites you want to post to manually later then sounds like a solid plan
 
Sure, Ive done stuff like this, even have a video on using scrapebox to do it.
Of course a few things have changed since the video, like page rank, but the concept is still the same

 
Someone else just asked the same thing in the ScrapeBox sales thread wanting to know if scraping niche pages to manually comment on is the same in 2020 as 2013, so i will add my reply here also:

The effectiveness of finding niche pages has not changed, ScrapeBox scrapes URL's from search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing etc so you can only assume for most queries search engines are more relevant now then 2013. The ScrapeBox harvester is fully editable, so you can do things like add Google URL parameters to the URL to only return results from a custom date range, location etc.

Once the URL's are scraped there's lots of feature you can use to further refine the results like running the Page Authority addon to filter by PA/DA/MozRank etc http://www.scrapebox.com/page-authority-addon

Also the Page Scanner is a great tool http://www.scrapebox.com/page-scanner

This can search within the page source for any specific text or HTML and report if it's found or not. So there's footprints for Wordpress, and numerous other blog and forum CMS packages but any text or HTML can be added. It will save the URL's where your text was found in to one file, and the URL's where it wasn't found in to another file. You can use variables like %AND% so

apple %AND% pie %AND% comments

Will only mark pages with all 3 keywords as found, so will help filter pages with comments about apple pies rather then apple computers.

Then there's all the URL filters:

There's others addons like Outbound Link Checker to check for URL's with too many outbound links on the page, Alexa rank checker etc. So tons of options and tools for refining niche lists.

The major change in 2020 I can think of is as @710fla said is site footprints.

If I check old threads like this - https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/footprints-to-find-drupal-blogs-with-scrapebox.289834/ and many others.

E.g. If I google
Code: 
Inurl:"node" + keyword (For finding Drupal sites)
. Most of the results are about how to use scrapbook or irrelevant.

So I'm going to do it this way.

  1. Start reading tutorials about site footprints/ @loopline videos.
  2. Make a list of new working site footprints.
  3. Buy Scrapebox + VPS
  4. Automate everything.
  5. Share the new site footprints with BHW community.

Please guide if there is anything I'm missing and If I somehow I can speed up the process of finding site footprints.

Im always an advocate of testing, I think you are on the right track. Things change and its the only real way to know. Test your footprints in a browser, like chrome etc... You just put the same thing in scrapebox and you get the same results, scrapebox is seen as a browser.

So test out your footprints and setup things manually then once you have it dialed in scrapebox can automate it straight away.

If you list out your process specifically then we can also help you on how to use scrapebox to automate it, assuming you get stuck.

I have already bought scrapobox but currently
I had several problems with this software
this software does not work well

impossible to use it with a proxy list
Impossible to use the article scraper paid plugin since the plugin change (you have to change this plugin with a simple easy and efficient tutorial)
impossible to install it on Windows 10 "bit
impossible to post comments automatically

this software worked very well before but now it's a real disaster
I have already sent several emails but the solutions given with the latest updates are not enough

It's a little weird to see such feedbacks about this great tool. I hope you will learn your way to make the most out of that fountain.
 
scrapebox is so outdated and web 2.0. Things just doesn't work like that anymore.
If it waas 2016 then yes but in 2021, scrapebox is joke.
 
scrapbox is good as software

on the other hand the problem is that this software since the last updates nothing works as before and no easy explanation

the scraper article plugin is not well explained
and no easy tutorial

and it's the same thing for the other plugins

and nothing like tutorials

It works perfectly for me and I know scrapebox has tens of thousands of users and Ive seen no one else say any of this. So if you can be more specific then I can try and help you figure out what on your setup is causing the issues your experiencing.

There is already a new tutorial on the article scraper, 2 years ago actually




I know its running on literally tens of thousands of windows 10 machines and its even developed on windows 10. I use it on windows 10 for years now. What is the issue? Its a portable app, you don't even install it, just run it and it runs.

Comment poster works beautifully, I literally post comments 24 hours a day 7 days a week with the automator, I even sell the lists, so I can say with certainty that it works, as would all of my subscribers, and they are using fast poster to post my lists as well.

Also it works the same as always for me with proxies.

Meaning if you want to post more detials then someone could try and direct you, but with posting only generic statements and with it working for everyone else except you, and unable to reproduce any issue, then I have nothing to go on to help you.

as for yellow pages, you have to go here for video. (my channel is too popular and yellow pages keeps submitting false take down requests because they don't want their data scraped)

I've already seen all these videos
but the problem is that with the last updates of the software nothing works
before I use it easily
at the moment I can't find google proxies with this software and if I find them I can't use it I have already done all the test requests.

for the article scraper plugin I could use the old version but the new one it's really impossible to explain it with ezinearticle is not easy or clear

sincerely this software is really good since the last updates we can't do anything and some tutorials are not clear

I spent hours and hours to understand
I used this article scraper plugin but I didn't succeed even when I watched the youtube video tutorial.
I wanted to use it to scrapbook articles on other sites and pay for articles.
Personally I find the video tutorial difficult to understand and not easy to explain.
if someone can explain me step by step I would be very grateful
