Scrapebox - Huge blasts vs. manual comments?

I'm getting ready to promote a handful of very keyword / product specific domains, and am looking for opinions on blasting the hell out of them vs. manually commenting.

I've been able to find just under 30 d0follow, auto approve blogs for this experiment. Once I found a blog that was d0follow & verified to be auto approve, I used Scrapebox to harvest the inner pages, saving any that were PR1+. In the end I'm left with just under 7k pages across 29 domains that meet this criteria. (About 25% are PR3+.) This took some time to put together, but it was worth it. However, not all are compatible with Scrapebox. And I'm not sure I'd want to use Scrapebox on them anyway.

Alternatively, I've also got a huge list of blogs that can be blasted with Scrapebox. But the majority are junk blogs, to say the least. Though I can quickly get thousands of backlinks by blasting them.

I'm leaning towards manually posting 20+ comments for each of my domains, spreading them throughout the different blogs, and ensuring that they're on topic and relevant to the post. It will take some time, but this way I can verify that I'm getting PR3+ backlinks that are d0follow.

Would such a small amount of (quality) backlinks be more beneficial than potentially 1000-2000+ "junk" backlinks? Just looking for opinions.

More beneficial? Probably. But remember that just because its on topic/relevant comment, doesn't mean it will get approved. The blog owner will see your product name/website and may just mark as spam based on that. So it is a lot more work, but probably in the end its more beneficial.

I made sure to post test comments on each of the blogs, wait 5 days, then remove any that deleted my comments. (Which surprisingly was only a few.) That left me with 29 blogs in which my test comments were still alive after 5 days. So I'm assuming that the blog owners are OK with the backlinks as long as I'm contributing to the post.

I have made a few tests and my conclusion is that even if its junk, alot of junk has more weight then only a few good link. And 2000 Junk Backlinks is nothing. Get 10000 Junk Links from 10000 different Domains/IPs and then you will see movement. And if you make those sitewide Links, lets say all of those 10000 Blogs have at least 10 pages, you will have like 100k Backlinks. Well, this is just my opinion which i have tested, and didn't get sandboxed, my rankings increased.
Advice! Don't Ping your Backlinks, wait at least a month till the search engines find them. Good luck.

I agree with you, bhsupernewb! 10K links from 10K different domains and IP's has more value than few PR3+ backlinks.

I will go for ScrapeBox blasting and will not work manually.

If that's the case, I'd say scrapebox huge blast wins.

IF* you could get say a 100 content relevant links from PR5+ blogs with minimal outgoing links then it probably would do some good.

But i tend to agree with everyone else, 10k links is gonna do a lot more good than manually submitting 10,20, a 100 comments. Power in numbers!

The question is, do you have 10k autoapprove blogs?

quality is always better, if you just make sure to check the quality that you are putting up than you are golden for success

1. Select a random domain from the SERP and blast it.
2. Try to make it rank better for its main keyword.
3. Check the result after a week and decide.

Some link-building approaches:

1) Auto Blasting

We all know the drill, 10,000 nofollow wordpress links and 10,000 blogengine links all with outbound link counts through the roof and the link as the name - great. Despite all the really weak SEO factors involved, auto-blasting works quite well (probably due to IP diversity), but it's not as easy as a lot of people think. You had to gather / buy your list, then set it up, make spinnable comments, and then the tool you're using could crash on you etc.


2) Normal Manual Link Building

This is where you spend several hours a day (for about 5 days) racking up the PR3 and PR4 links on multiple platforms and sources by following other pro-spammers. It works well but it's hard work.


3) Link Diamonds

After doing 2) for a while you come across a precious few dynamite PR5, 6 and 7 pages with almost no other OBL. These are the links that no automated tool can get you. You have to know how to find them & spend time searching. When you get them, you'll know it when your serps go through the roof.


My advice:

Do all 3 of the above. Then you'll see the best results. Quality and quantity.

4) Build your own network of satellite sites. Get 100+ domains with WHOIS privacy, put them on a SEO host that has multiple C-class IPs for each domain. Install WP on them with a different theme for each. Optimize the theme and WP setup. Post 15-30 articles on each blog, all on the topic of your money site. Link from 10-70% of the pages on each site to your money site, from about 50% to other authority sites to avoid footprint. Interlink them in groups/clusters, not every site with every other site. Build about links to each of them. Not shitty links, but quality ones too.

5) Write guest posts for other sites. Find high-PR sites, regardless of theme. Ask the owner what content is most successful on their site, study the topic of his site and figure out a post that could generate a lot of interest/buzz or be a great resource. Something like "10 ways to ..." or "Ultimate list of..." or "Best ..." etc. Because it's great, he will build internal links to it more than usual. You can also do a social blast and game StumbleUpon or Digg so the story gets lots of traction. Make sure his site is a quality one with high PR on homepage, a healthy internal linking structure and with useful content. You don't have to write about your topic. You can write about his topic and include a byline with a link to your site using your keyword - e.g. "John Smith is writing about link building techniques on http://x.com"

6) Profile pages and blogs on social sites like the ones supported by Instant Social Anarchy and Social Acid. You can buy the software or build your own tool for free if you have some coding skills. Just make sure you don't do just profiles but also blog posts on each site. some won't stick as some sites are moderated. For this you need to have cheap content. By cheap I mean free. How do you get free content? You use the sentence mixing technique (easiest but obviously looks as generated content and is unreadable) or mashup posts (you make lists of stuff and copy paragraphs from various sources. like the review aggregators do for products).

7) Mass article submission to article directories. Use Article Directory Robot. All articles should be different. Not necessarily entirely unique, but mostly different. Many of the directories allow crap, so you can get away easy. Best approach for content for these is spinning and/or mashup articles.
