Scrapebox Help...Expert Advice Needed

Well I bit the bullet and purchased scrapebox yesterday. I have watched the videos and understand most of the functions but I had a couple of questions that I'm still in the air about.

I wont sugar coat nothing, Im just going to lay it out there.

I own a warez site where user's share music, movies, games, etc.

When i Harvest URL's, what are some good keywords or strings I should use?

Like when I use "music" that brings back a lot of results but very few are targeted about downlloading so what can i use to harvest url's of people who are actually looking for that stuff as opposed of sites who just talk about music in general....I tried typing in:

"download_music" as a keyword but that didnt work that well either.


Next is, whats the best way to get your url's to stick? Im not good at coming up with messages that dont sound that "spammy" ..lol....is there some type of comment generator in which I can enter my url's and something automatically generates a few comments...lol...i know thats lazy as hell but i'm not as clever as some of you..lol


Last is, I harvested proxies with the proxy harvester that comes with scrapebox, I tested them and got about 100 "good" proxies...do you guys recommend using these or should I purchase the 10 private proxy deal from mr. tornado for $30 a month?

Ok, this is the last thing for sure..lol...is there a thread on here that shows "recommended" setting for scrapebox? Thanks for any info.

For harvesting, I wouldn't try hiding what you're targeting (just as you didn't sugarcoat what your site is about). Just enter keywords like warez, software, cracks, download latest mp3's, download avatar, etc. There's tons of sites about that, though as you probably know you *really* want to run a threatware scanner while you're posting to them.

The keyword scraper might come in real handy for you too - enter some keywords, then use the keyword scraper to find what phrases people are looking for.

For comments, there's a few different tactics you could try. One is brief generic comments on recent or related topics - "hey did you see the latest news about {the pirate bay|mininova|rapidshare}?". Your niche is kind of unique, but I still think it might be worth looking at other blogs/sites in the same niche and re-purposing comments from them. I also think long-assed comments are still effective in wearing down the admins into approving them after they read 2-3 sentences.

Spin the living hell out of your comments using a spinner like the best spinner, power article rewriter, whatever. I assume based on your niche you won't have any probs getting a spinner app lol.

As far as your proxies, I'd mix in the free harvested proxies with some from another source. That will increase your success rate. My personal preference is for a source that you can get fresh proxies from quite frequently (like daily), I know others have their own opinions.

On "recommended" settings - there's a lot of info in the main sbox thread, I know it's long, but there's a lot of good info in there. Any particular setting(s) you're curious about or questioning?

Hey Gregs, one last question bro. Do you recommend doing one search at a time or multiple? Like what I mean is since my site has multiple types of warez on it from full albums, mp3 singles, movies, apps, games, etc...should i try scraping one at a time or just do all at once?

Should I enter:

download full albums
download music

as keywords or just go for the gusto like:

download warez
download movies
download full albums
download mp3 singles
cracks
keygens

etc?

Good question. Depends a lot on the nature of your backlinks and of your comments. If they are "generic" enough, harvest all the KW's/phrases at once. If not, discrete runs would be better.

If I were you, I'd probably fire up 3-4 instances of sbox and do discrete harvests with unique sets of comments and backlinks for each instance.

One more suggestion: If you're going to use the slow commenter in that niche, turn every security setting on you can think of since it still uses Internet Explorer in the backend.

Sometimes I even get trojans (Trojan.zBot was the last one I encountered) in other 'more secure' niches (but some sites pass anyway).
