Scrapebox Harvesting Problems

I've had problems the last week when trying to harvest for certain queries. The two that immediately pop into my head are the 'inurl:' operator and the '*' operator...

When I use these two, harvesting does not work. When I simplify the query to remove these special operators, it works fine. I've done manual google searches using these operators and some of the queries I have return over 1,000,000 indexed pages - still nothing in SB.

Any idea what's up? Has anyone experiences this?

Yes, it is Google. Yahoo can be a lot more forgiving, even without proxies, but G is an absolute bitch when dealing with such operators. The problem is not with SB itself, rather the SE limiting.

My recommendation is that you first harvest Yahoo, then you go to Google and try to find ways around using inurl:. Often simply putting the url string in quotation marks works a charm. Try it!

Problem is not about scrapebox, but about the proxies you use. Somehow google does not let you use proxies for operators. If you deselect use proxies you can get results. But then you risk blocking your ip

couldnt find a solution yet
