I feel like I must be missing something here. I'm running scrapebox on a VPS with private proxies and it's smokin' fast and quite interesting.

AS a test I did a small comment batch to about 500 blogs just to see how it worked and after the post was completed, about 60+ browser windows were spawned. This only happens after a Scrapebox posting and there is no malware etc on the machine. Is this normal (i hope not) and how can I better control what Scrapebox might be trying to do?

The websites your posting to contain malware which is being downloaded to your cookies when scrapebox visits the website. My AVG goes crazy sometimes when im posting. Installed some sort of active virus shield.

Cyberzilla, yes it seems to happen if I follow up with slow posting.

rakooom2002, I'll try something different than what I have in place now.

Thank you both.

I never use slow poster mode, but I tried it once long back. I even got the same problem. All the URLs loaded for slow posting opened automatically opened in IE browser. Filter your list using "Malware and Phishing Filter" add-on before posting.

On some website you can find a lot of exploits/malware/adware, so beware of this and use avira antivir on your vps ;)

If you have enough RAM memory then you can install virtualbox or VMware and set up a new virtual computer only for blackhat tools. And in case it gets infected by some shitware you just replace it with backup copy, without affecting your "real" operating system.

Thanks for the tips, guys.

I've scrubbed the box and made sure there nothing offensive present and have taken measures to avoid any future trouble.

The VMWare choice is interesting. My current configuration is likely not beefy enough but I'll keep that in mind when I upgrade in the future.

Again, thanks for taking the time to help!
