How do you use Scrapebox for high PR forum profiles?

If you scrape for forums using the "powered by" and "register" and things like that, you can find forum registration pages but what use is that? When I create a profile there, the PR for it is going to be 0 isn't it?

I must not be understanding something. What is it?

The domain PR will be high, but the URL profile will be NA

Well most blog comments are PR0.
Profile backlinks is 99.999999% Based off Domains Pagerank.

If the PR for the domain is high, how does that travel down to the profile page? I thought all pages were individual entities and PR didn't flow down throught the domain?

I still don't understand

Take wikipedia as example. The main page has high PR but why does other pages show up first for many search terms?

Most profiles are going to be 0 page rank, darshan is incorrect about getting the domain rank for your link.

That's because each page is a seperate entity in terms of PR, is it? PR flows through deeper pages via internal linking. So without other, indexed pages from the domain linking to it, it will remain at PR 0? Unless I link to it with an external link of course, but that would be pointless.

Is that how it works?

If it is, why do people try to find high PR forums with those sort of SB footprints?

If you check my old posts I think I offered up some nice forum backlinks. If not theres plenty on my blog. http://forum-backlinks.blogspot.com

I can't find them. How did you go about finding them? I can't seem to get my head around what makes a good profile backlink and one that isn't good.

EDIT: Is that your autoblog? I followed a thread of yours for a while that involved you autoblogging but this doesn't look like the same one. The one I saw had a really busy background.

Come on, don't stop now, my spider sense is tingling. I think I'm not far away from understanding. I just need someone to provide that last bit of enlightenment.

Does PR flow down from the forum to it's profile pages?

Or, another question, is it common practice for people to scrape the urls of the forum, check for PR, and then create profiles in the belief that it does some good? Do we have anyone here that swears by them? Is that what you do?

Come on, this is the last peice of the puzzle for me :D

It's actually quite speculatory. Some people believe Forum Profiles do in fact help, while others believe they don't. I've used Forum Profiles Backlinks on every one of my websites, and I know for a fact they work, as I have sites ranking 50,000,000+ with just 800 Profile Backlinks from PR6-9 websites. All with PR: N/A on the profile, but PR6-9 on the root domain.

As I said though, it's all just speculatory. If you try it and it works, then stick with it. If you try it and it doesn't, then don't. Just stick to PR5+ Domains, and don't worry about the PR: N/A on the profiles.

The worst that can happen is you lose a couple hours of your life.
