Scrapebox Expired Domain Finder

EDIT: Is it possible to implement "copy to clipboard" feature when I do left click on the expired domain in the list. I have to manually type in the domain name in ahrefs etc. or have to click "open in default browser" and then copy the url to clipboard. Would be a nice shortcut :)

+1

Given the problems you guys reported, is there an update forthcoming that fixes these issues?

I can't dulicate any of these issues, it only works just fine for me and its working fine for support as well and I know its working fine for a lot of other people. So an actual identifable problem would have to be found, else its just user pc setup etc... Which isn't something support can actually fix.

Disabled Defender and whitelisted scrapebox but no chance, it skips the whole list after checking a few sites. It skips it even when I reduce threads to 1. Strange thing is, it does this only on crawl depth 1. I just tried it with crawl depth 5 and in the 5th depth it checks 12k pages and does not skip anything.

Heres the list, maybe somebody want to try it on crawl depth 1 and see if he gets the same error -> http://filehorst.de/d/bcdHybEm

Ill give the list a go and get back to you.

Hmm seems like expired domain finder does not work properly. At least on my computer. I´ve checked a list with 600 urls three times with a crawl depth of 1. Each time different results. But it was not able to find more than 2 expireds. Same list checked with scrapebox build in expired checker and 24 available domains.

I ran your list of 7610 domains, it completed normally, without skipping anything. It found 460 domains that are expired.

I think your setup is the problem, not the expired domain finder. I would download a fresh copy of scrapebox, and unzip it to a new folder on your desktop.

Then run it, and install the expired domain finder.

Then launch the expired domain finder and Don't Change Anything, no settings, leave them default.

Load your list and run it, does it do the same thing? The only thing you may want to change I guess is the crawl depth, set it to 1.

I can't make it fail.

Holy hell, 460 expireds? I split the list into 500s and ran all 14 files through. It found about 6 or 7 expireds in total, even though it did not skip because the list was short and I used 1 thread.

I tried a new installation but it did not help, it skipped the list immediately.

Edit: I tried to install SB on my laptop but there is no chance in hell that I can find my paypal transaction ID. I bought SB back in 2010 or so.

You can contact support and If you have access to the email address of the license they can resend the paypal transaction ID. But they will only resend it to the license email address.

It seems you have something wrong though, skipping the list, something is just killing the connections.

Also if its almost instant, that means all those connections are never leaving your pc/network. So its something local.

Thanks Loopline. I wrote to the support. One thing is strange though, as I said, when I scrape with crawl depth 5 for example, then it does not skip. I scraped wikipedia 2 days ago and on crawl depth 4 it scanned 112k domains without skipping and found about 500 domains. It only happens on crawl depth 1.

Hey there guys. I just bought this tool the other night and have began doing some tests with the project. I have watched looplines tutorial and it was great. The thing I am struggling with is determining if the domain is worth purchasing or not.

I have read some of your other posts saying that it is up to yourself to determine what you are shooting for in terms of a "good site".

For example I found a site today that has 10m facebook likes, I think that is what the facebook tab means in the program, but everything else was a 0. I looked it up on ahrefs and it has 8 for UR and 31 for DR.

To me the 10m jumps out but if everything else is a 0 is it even worth my time purchasing? The site used to be an old social media site and there are still like 500 backlinks.

Like I said I am very new to the whole expired domain process, but I am trying to get a baseline as to what I should be looking for.

Thanks for your time if you read this and thanks for any help.

That does seem really odd.

Thats beyond me answering, because its so loaded. You can do some searches on BHW here for peoples opinion, but its could have been a penalized site for example, which is why no one is buying it now. Or the facebook could have been all done via a bot etc..

Terry Kyle has some videos on this, just google for it, they are from mid 2016, but a lot of good stuff. Nargil (I think is the name) has posted a post recently on here with a lot of details and then there are plenty of other peoples opinions around.

Basically plan to mess up some, its ok. Plan to spend some money buying domains that look good but find out later they are not. Its just giong to happen and then you can dig and learn.

If I were to go looking the first I would do is check prior anchor text and also way back, but there is more to it then that, but those are ones that can be obvious clues.

Hi Loopline,

I think my problem is that my internet provider blocks me from scraping and that is probably why it skips the domains. Is that possible? What is also strange, even if I load a list with 10 guaranteed expired domains into the expired domain finder and chose 1 thread, it cant find even one expired.

I heared a VPS but I have no idea how much that would cost and if that is even possible?

Its possible your ISP could be blocking you. A VPS would be a good option. Here are some places that is recommended
http://scrapeboxfaq.com/scrapebox-vps-hosting

The cheapest package is like $15 so you could try that or more ideally the $30 VPS, and you can always change. VPS is great because its pretty fluid, you just need to buy it and then set it up. I have a video

But when I activate my copy of scrapebox on the VPS, I can´t use it on my home PC anymore right?

Is it possible that the ISP of the VPS can ban the IP as well when I don´t use proxies for the expired domain finder?

Btw, support couldn´t help me with finding my paypal transaction ID. I bought scrapebox 5-6 years ago and PayPal shows only payment history of last 2 years.

Correct, scrapebox is a single pc license, you would need to purchase an additional copy to use on your home pc, if you wanted to use it in both places.

Its exceedingly unlikley that the vps provider would do this, I use the expired domain finder without proxies and have told many people to do the same and never heard of an issue. The point of a VPS is to produce a lot of traffic so it would just look normal.

The best thing I Can tell you on the transaction ID is to look in your backups where you backup important info. If you don;t have backups then get some starting today.

But you can look thru your email box for the paypal transaction ID. Or you can try to contact paypal and see if someone there can lookup the transaction.

Have you thought about adding a feature that also lists domains that are in rgp period? domain ronin does it already and i think that the feature would be great for scrapebox too.

I had a quick question about the expired domain finder. I bought this plugin for scrapebox but I cant seem to find any good expired domains. For example I scraped wikipedia for any broad niche and it crawls for a only a few minutes and comes back with nothing. Im using proxies and have tried it without proxies and its still giving me the same thing. Any thoughts on this? Would really like to find some expired domains.

You have an issue somewhere, I was trying to solve an issue just yesterday and scraped wikipedia and got over 100 domains in short order. Try 7 connections on this url:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Car

same url I used. Also use NO proxies, make sure you have no filters turned on. If need try uninstalling the plugin and go into your scrapebox folder >> plugins >> epxired domain finder folder - and delete all the contents. Then reinstall the plugin (you might need to restart scrapebox).

Then don't change any settings Except set to 7 threads and 7 levels deep. You won't need to go that deep to see results, but anyway, that will work. IF it doesn't you have other issues, again use no proxies.

Thanks a million Loopline for that help. I ended up having to do as you said and delete the plugin and install it again. Worked like a charm. Super Happy here. Should I be crawling without proxies all the time? or just for testing purposes.

Its up to you, I set lower connections and dont use proxies and I feel like that is better overall then using proxies. Split test and see, you can run an unlimited number of instances of scrapebox on the same machine
