What method do you use to find deleted tumblr blogs? I usually scrape the links, trim to root, remove duplicates, check for pr and use the Alive check addon. But most of the links showing as dead are redirects. Is there any other way to do this? Thanks!

I'm curently using the same method but with tumblr alive checker bot (shared on bhw)

Thanks! I`ll have a look at that ^^!

You can also use Xenu Link Sleuth, which I find works better than SB's Alive Checker...

It looks like the download link for the tumblr bot is dead.

Thanks and I`ll check the Xenu Link Sleuth too.

I've developed a bot specifically for this and it's designed to support more than just Tumblr. It will launch in less than a week!

i.e: LiveJournal, Weebly, Blogger, Over-Blog, AboutThis and more!

Just a teaser, we'll have a BST approved on BHW soon!

I'm sorry you feel that way. It's not 100% similar at all.

Both of the softwares do two completely different things. (we don't do blog comments)

We actually improved on the UI and made it specifically for harvesting expired Web 2.0 blogs.
For example, our proxy manager and settings tabs are totally different.

We also have a bigger set of keywords, Gscraper only 5k, we have almost a million+.

The only similarity is the gradient gray theme that Scrapebox and other Windows software also use.

There's only so many ways you can design where to place your buttons if you aim to keep it simple.

Most websites have a header, body and footer sections with a video in the middle. That doesn't mean they copy each other. It's simply the best structure for a website. Our UI is simply the best structure for a "scraper". If we had done it differently, you'd say we copy Xrumer/Scrapebox/GSA etc.

As far as DMCA goes, DMCA only protects IP. We did not use any of their code so there's no issue there.

Let me try it for free and I`ll post a review :D

Hi

Scrapebox will get you a list of dead blogs. That is not enough. You need to check for tumblr availability to register. As far as I know tumbling jazz is the only bot that will do this at the moment.

Instead of using alive check with SB you can use the link checker and put any sort of url in. Then export the urls that are reporting server errors. This will give you a list of blogs that you can then check to see if they are available which is still time consuming.

Can you PM when you go live? I am not on here everyday and may not see your BST for awhile.

After a blog is deleted / banned (on tumblr at least) it is held. The site is 404'd but you cannot sign up the user name.

Tumblingjazz, will actually step through the signup routine and see if it is possible to sign up with that username, if so it is logged out for you.

You can then use this list to signup accounts or create 2ndary blogs.

Signup of accounts IS support in tumblingjazz, creating 2ndary blogs isn't yet

but it's slow like a snail. i posted a list of 3k blogs and it took 2 hours just to check first 100.

can you please pm me about how to make secondary blogs on one account using your bot.

That's part of your problem. TumblingJazz has multithreading so just move that into 5 lists and run them. Also 2 hours to check 100 is something wrong with your connection. I run way more than that in 20 minutes.
