Scrapebox crashing - Possible Fixes and Solutions

Vista SP2 64 bit Home Premium

Same OS Here, Same problem.

Have you tried to run it under XP emulation? I have without success...

give it a try and tell me if it works for you. In the mean time, I'll probably jump to Windows7 64x to attempt to solve the issue. If you come up with anymore ideas, let me know...

I'm probably going to do the same thing. Not getting much in the way of help from support. I've uninstalled my old AV and now am installing a new one to see if it makes any difference.

Edit: Installed a new AV and still have the same problems. When I go to fast post all of them are failed aborted.

Mine was crashing as well...I cleaned IE out, and windows temp folder....fixed the issue

Yeah, I'm well beyond those steps unfortunately. I think those were things I tried the first hour, lol. I've gone as far as editing my bios for better memory handling and no luck so...

Jericho, I'm running windows 7 now. I'll report back on the success or failure of that as a fix tomorrow. Right now I'm trying to resolve all sorts of boot errors associated with the upgrade.

Vista SP2 64 bit Home Premium

Just got a reply back from SB support, basically said the posting problem is on my end. That's nice but how do I fix it if it is? And why did it just start after the recent updates?

I haven't changed anything recently on my PC. No software upgrades or new software, AV hasn't changed, firewall hasn't changed, so if it's me and nothing has changed except for updating SB how do I find the problem?

happening to me too, and I know someone else that has the same problem, didn't start till a recent update so I would say they are wrong. When somethings working before they gave an update, then stops after the update, it's obviously a problem they caused. Even if it's a problem caused by vista, it's suppose to work with vista, and it did work with vista, so it's up to them to make it work with vista again.

Have you guys tried running CCleaner prior to doing things? Just to simply wipe everything out in IE?

yeah, that was day 1 my friend.

I'm running a list of 30k urls through SB right now, we will see how things look in the morning. First run since the OS change.

Ha, ha ha ha....... ha

Went to bed with scrapebox posting. Woke up with scrapebox closed.

Windows 7 just made scrapebox absolutely useless to me as a comment spammer. That's awesome in a box.

I think I'm just going to abandon SB for comments and find another prog.

Hmm.

I am running Windows 7 64 Bit.

For my SB stops accessing the URL list after about 4,000 'comments'. Just sits there and the program is still responsive. To get it going i have to Abort and press Start again to get it going again. Always stops after about 4,000 URLS 'commented'.

Done the above with no avail (Temp files etc).

Sucks :(

I tell you something, you are a stupid moron who do not know what you are talking about. You are one of the handful of people complaining all day long instead of cooperating and helping solving the issues.
I am since 30 years programmer, and issues are not solved by posting just nonsense, issues are solved by submitting as much details as possible.
There are thousands of people using ScrapeBox successful, and many, including myself, using Windows 7.
Fact is, ScrapeBox is developed under Windows 7, 64 Bit.
Sweetfunny is doing everything to solve as many issues as possible, but people like you will be at the end of the list.

Please update to the .56 version and report how it goes. People having the same issue reported that it worked fine for them.

my sb is freezing up if it looses focus. this happened after the .55 update

Why do you say that? I'm looking for a way to solve the problem that's been plaguing the application for months. Why are you so pissed off? Because I'm publically diagnosing a problem? Or because I'm publically diagnosing a problem with a program that you seem to have some vested interest in? If you don't have a vested interest in the program, why are you taking this so personally?

It's pretty funny that you talk to me as if I've been a thorn in the side of Sweetfunny, or done something that limits their ability to resolve the issue. Yet everytime I have contacted them, I've included a video of the issue and when I resolved an issue that they couldn't - I replied to them with what the solution was so that they knew.

-How many people are even willing to try different operating systems to resolve the issue?

-How many people have tried different Bios configurations? How many are even willing or know how to?

I've done those things to attempt to diagnose the problem from my end since Sweetfunny swears up and done that it is an end user issue and not a problem with the application. It's pretty funny however that now you come out of left feild and bash me for bringing this to light. Why is it funny? Because if you reread everything I've written above I have probably done more to help resolve problems than most users. And here you are throwing a fit for no reason.

Maybe you should justify what your role is in this problem....

If you aren't someone having a problem with the application, and you aren't someone helping resolve the problem, then what do you have to gain by bashing those that are trying to find a solution? The bottom line is if you aren't a part of the problem and not a part of the solution - then what are you doing here?

Sounds like you had a mood swing or just don't understand what it is that I'm trying to do here. If you are involved with scrapebox, maybe you can answer the question for us - if it's an end user problem on their local machine, what is causing the problem that multiple people are having. Not the latest issue with .55/.56 but the problem people are specifically having with memory handling.

Everyone with long term programming experience that I've had ON MY LOCAL MACHINE all point to memory handling. Honestly, I'm going to take the opinion of a couple of family friends that run a multimillion dallor developement company that have sat in my chair and worked with the problem themselves first hand over you... a spastic, fit throwing asshole.

First in line, last in line - do you think I care? As far as I know, they claim the problem isn't theirs so I assumed I had no place in line anyways. This was a DIY fix thread.

I made this thread to help people like myself having the same issue. It was a place where we could collectively compare our local setups vs. our experiences and come up with an answer. If that offends you then maybe you should reconsider your position on what message boards and forums are meant for.

In the mean time, if you want to continue to bash me, please take it to PM and not detract from any help or value that the thread still may have to others. I'll even give you my phone number so you can scream at me personally. But your touch is anything but "Soft." I've contacted support again to appologize to them for any line of respect that I've crossed, and to figure out what your relationship is to this issue.

* Please Don't allow whatever stored aggression or hatred you have for me detract from any possible good this thread may be to others.....

Thanks,
GOY

Great news! The latest update of ScrapeBox fixes the issue I was having. I can easily Post to over 30k Blogs without it stopping after 5 or so!

Got mine fixed. It turned out there was something wrong with the email accounts I was using. Once I changed them my fast poster started working fine.

Were you having slow poster issues? I'll send you a PM as there's a couple people that will want to know what the problem/solution was.

what was wrong with the emails? I'm having the same freezing problem with fast and slow comments

I don't know exactly what was wrong with the emails and it only affected fast posting. Support had me run a test post with just a simple name, website, email address and no spin with the comment.

It worked so we instantly knew that it was something in one of those that was making it glitch. Every time I would try and fast post I would get a bunch of failed errors.

It worked fine with slow posting but I have noticed that I haven't been getting any backlinks since the problem started so my guess is that slow posting was not functioning either because of it.

I went back and changed all my emails and names and double checked my comment spins. Everything looked fine and I re-ran it and it started working again.

The only thing I can guess is that either there's something about using ymail that it didn't like or the file may have been corrupted or the other possibility was that I put a ,com instead of .com or something like that. At any rate it appears the most likely cause was user error.

The only problems I am noticing at the moment is that fast posting will freeze up intermittently and I have to start over. Not sure what it is but it's not to big of a deal since I just abort and re-run the failed posts.

There was a scraping glitch that has come up that was causing some errors recently with URLs but support assures me that .57 has fixed it and I haven't noticed it since upgrading.
