Scrapebox crashing - Possible Fixes and Solutions

well, I've come across a lot of new pages that seem to make the autorecovery lock up still. They are all listed as "post/test.apsx"

Anyone else come across these new little problems?

WOOT! SB is asking me if I want to stop scripts now. I haven't had a lock up yet since I last updated. This is the longest slow commenting I've been able to do since I purchased it.

Can you specify any setting changes you have made beyond those of the base installation? I have yet to be asked to stop scripts and I have had 4 crashes since .47 - 2 just complete lockups, 2 "Send error report" based crashes.

As what OS are you running out of curiosity. I'm just trying to further diagnose a problem if it's local to me.

I didn't do the update and I"m running just fine on Windows 7 64bit with 4GB memory.

I do ALWAYS run SB as administrator and rarely ever see it crash. Try that and see if it works for you guys.

i cannot get scrapebox to post. I have 26,000 blogs im trying to comment on. When i hit start posting, the hourglass comes up and just stays there. Nothing happens. My End Task says scrapebox is not responding. Any solutions?

I'm sufferign from the slow poster crashing problem also. I ahve increased my temp file in IE to 1024mb which hasn't helped.

I don't even get offered an error report, it just totally locks up and has to be stopped via the task manager where it says it's not responding.

does anybody have a solution to these scrapebox issues? i tried pm'ing sweetfunny as well as support and have yet to get any answer, which basically makes scrapebox utterly useless to me

I've noticed the last couple of updates have made SB glitch out a lot more. I never used to have problems fast posting WP but now it locks up on me about 1 out of 3 runs now.

Now slow poster is glitching too. I do a run of it and it will just cause the whole program to shut down at some point and disappears.

SB cannot just "disappear". Something cause this, outside of SB. Maybe your AV is killing it.
The slow poster wasn't change for a long time, so an increase of crashes due to slow poster have to come due to another reason, not SB.

Unless he is running under an account setup to automatically close memory error windows....

I'm constantly running into thread creation errors. The memory leak is getting worse with each update it seems...

I'm about to try a completely different OS (well, okay more of an evolution, not revolution) just to hopefully resolve the issue. I've modified everything else, including how the bios handles memory to try to resolve the problem. It's either a problem that needs to be coded around or it's a problem with Vista X64 as an OS. Hopefully 7 will be a better option.

With 18 Gigs of ram (up from 9 to try to resolve the problem) and a 450Gb (up from 50) paging file, there shouldn't be a memory issue. It's obviously a leaky application. It's kinda why I stopped replying to this thread. The problem is out of my control beyond hoping that Windows 7 handles memory in a way so as to prevent this mishandling.

The last thing I am going to try to do before I go W76 is make a radical change to IE's tmp file, but that's not going so well at the moment.

How do you get the idea that there's a memory leak?
You seem to have an isolated issue. Thousands of people do not have this issue, which tells me that SB is not doing anything wrong.

You've never had a program shut down on it's own? That's what I mean it just ups and shuts down and disappears. And if you look at the post above the one you quoted you would see that I said I'm having a lot of fast poster issues too which has had updates.

I've never had any problems with my AV and SB in the past that I know of. What I can say is since the last couple of updates SB has been glitching a lot more.

It freezes up now on slow and fast posting and I haven't even had an option to send in a report most of the time. I usually just have to go to task manager and shut it down manually.

Although last night my fast posting didn't have any hiccups on 3 runs but the blog analyzer completely froze up and I couldn't get it to work at all after trying to analyze a list.

I noticed the same issue. If I run SB consistently without closing it for a couple of days I go from 20K to 800K.

I just shut down two instances of SB through the task manager because both had frozen and both were almost at 900K each in memory use.

Don't get me wrong I'm not trying to be rude or anything because I absolutely love this program but I've noticed it's not been running as smoothly lately.

Just ran the fast poster again and got this: Access violation at address 203E6D65. Read of address 203E6D65.

Edit: Just got it again - Access violation at address 73657270. Read of address 73657270.

Are you using the latest .55 version?
Then you should have sent an error log.

Yeah. I sent it both times. I just rebooted to see if that might clear up the error. I'll try again.

Edit: Guess it isn't .55. Just updated it.

Anyone know why all of a sudden my WP fast posting submissions would have dropped to less than 1%. I just rechecked the proxies and I'm running alive check to see if it's the sites but so far everything looks fine.

Edit: I've tried a bunch of things and I'm still not getting them to stick in fast post. Current run is 4 submissions out of 2500. Normally I get 25-40%.

Edit 2: Froze up before finishing the run. 10 submissions out of 4279.

Because scrapebox isn't releasing the memory it uses. That's a leak.

I'm glad your OS interacts well with scrapebox. As you can plainly see, there are MANY people for whom it DOESN'T work stably. Do you have something helpful to contribute or are you just trying to create unwanted drama?

Anyways, that troll totally disrupted my train of thought...

Jericho, what OS are you running out of curiosity. Version, service pack (if Win), and 32/64 bit?

Vista SP2 64 bit Home Premium

Just got a reply back from SB support, basically said the posting problem is on my end. That's nice but how do I fix it if it is? And why did it just start after the recent updates?

I haven't changed anything recently on my PC. No software upgrades or new software, AV hasn't changed, firewall hasn't changed, so if it's me and nothing has changed except for updating SB how do I find the problem?
