Scrapebox crashing - Possible Fixes and Solutions

Hey guys,

I'm a big user of Xrumer and senuke as you might expect. I'm just getting involved with scrape box because of it's huge potential in my mind. Unfortuantely, I've had a lot of crashing issues - some I've resolved, some I haven't.

For those of you who are crashing a lot during the submission to BlogEngine is slow (not slow accurate) mode, try increasing your tmp folder size to 250-1024MB. Secondly I turned off the loading of images.

That helped resolved 85% of my issues.

However, I still will crash 4-10 times throughout the course of posting to 20k urls. Are there any other settings that you've tred to help reduce crashing beyond the two I mentioned? And is there any way to actually read the crushdump log file to restart where we left off when it crashes?

It's a vista 64x box with 9Gb DDR3 ram. Memory should not be a problem. Searching showed a lot of results without many answers

Having the same issue, crashes during slow poster I thought it was just only me.

Yeah I figured there had to be more of us.

It's really irritating and what's keeping me using Xrumer for the time being. Even if you have to set it as the main window, I hate not being able to set it and forget it while I go to work. It's like I have to be scrapebox'es little wet nurse waiting for it to crash.

Yeah, but I feel bad. I just harassed this shit out of them for a IE8 issue.

Trying not to be the ultimate squeeky wheel with them so they can work on including forum support instead of answering my little bitchy support emails.

When using the slow poster Scrapebox crashes

I am also experiencing issues with scrapebox crashing.

i try to post to K's of blogs but it always crashes.

how do you increase your tmp folder size?

Same here, my scrapebox crashes everytime, about 10% into slow poster.

I let Sweetfunny know about this thread. Since SB just crashed, I decided to capture and post the screen Shots of the error and what slow commenter was at when it crashed.

I havest wordpress blogs to post to run the comment get about 30% success rate but when I check the link checker it doesn't find the link post? When I manually look I don't find any comments ?

The slow commenter is pretty useless, it crashes after about 2-3k URLs.

I can post to 20k URLs perfectly fine. I crash however, when scraping 20k URLs. I have to do like 5-6k at a time only.

Ok, I thought to buy this thing. I see that it is not working.

The blog that is highlighted in yellow on your second screen shot. (says reading) Have you tried just posting to that blog/domain? And/or the one prior to that?

I have found that in most instances when something crashes its to do with the site its working with. Either the site causes something in sbox to crash or something in windows to cause it to crash. Every time that I have had an issue it has been to do with something on the site causeing something on my windows machine to cause sbox to crash.

Bearing in mind it uses IE to simulate posting (more or less) then if it causes and issue with IE it will crash sbox. I have been able to solve 99% of my crash issues by altering my lists.

For instance I had a site that kept appearing in various lists and sbox would crash. I believe that the site was something like cssleak.com. Some of the pages on that site caused various sbox crashes while otheres didnt. After I realized what was happening, I filtered out all cssleak.com pages. Then everything ran perfectly.

The easiest way to go about this is splitting your lists and testing. When you get it down to a small list and it does it its relatively easy to pull certain domains and try to post to them a few times and see what happens.

Also things like DEP can mess with stuff. I white listed all my sbox instances for DEP.

The biggest issues is its a windows based program and there are so many things in windows that run that can cause an issue, its just inherent to the nature of the beast. There is no way to compensate for every windows setup inside of every website and how they interact.

All told adjusting my lists and filtering out problematic domains has solved the vast majority of my crashes.

Its working fine, in fact better then ever. SweetFunny has amazing support and stays on top of things. Besides its an infant project (long term speaking) that already performs with matured results similar to xrumer. Its a steal and I would jump on it while the price is still so low, if I were you.

Currently on a scraping project. Scraped over 6 Million urls and counting. It saves the ones over 1M to files increasing by number. How much RAM do you have? Whats your processor? I had a lot of issues with it freezing harvesting and posting when I didn't have a good enough machine to run it on.

What kind of crash are you getting?

Success rate means successfully posted. It doesn't mean that its not in moderation que. You comments are waiting to be approved by admins. Which will all depend on how clever you were with the whole comment proccess setup.

Mine crashed today... now i don't know how much of those 33k url it posted on
