Scrapebox check pagerank

My scrapebox will only check pagerank intermittently. Sometimes it goes like a banshee and sometimes it just says dead proxies.

These proxies test out fine in Manage Proxies. I have a second program that uses proxies and test them too. It tells me the proxies are fine.

I get my proxies from your private proxies . We know their a good outfit.

Anyway, why do you think my scrapebox doesn't like to check pagerank?

This is a list of 14,000 urls. Could that be the problem? Should I split the lists.

Also, check pagerank is the only place I notice a problem.

I didn't want to post a new thread, but I am having the exact same problem.... any one have any idea on what this could be?

How many proxies are you using? How many connections are you using? You are better off scraping 100+ public proxies for pr checking I think. They get banned really quick. But if you have 100-200 public proxies, you will do less requests per minute, so less time getting banned. Or lower the connections to just 3-5 and run it all night.

I had a problem with Page Rank being painfully slow. It would take 2 to 3 hours to check 2,000 urls.

What fixed it for me was to turn off the delay completely. As I recall, it now takes less than 2 minutes to check around 2,000 urls. I also changed the "Adjust Maximum Settings" for PR to 100.

How many proxies were you running? I would assume a ton of good PR sites would come back as NA due to banned proxies.

That's possible, but I haven't bothered to test it. I was running the PR to find some good sites to comment on manually, so I wasn't looking for huge numbers.

I did a G search and read about someone else having the same problem with the PR checker and it was suggested to them to turn off the delay. So I tried it and it seemed to work.

RE: proxies. I have just been using public proxies. I try to use 100 to 200 when I can find them. But it seems to be getting more difficult to find a good quantity lately.

I'm still learning, so if anyone has a better explanation and solution - I would like to hear about it.

I had this once and just did a reinstall, worked fine...

After doing pr check, my pages are showing pr n/a when they actually have higher pr. I tried having no delay, and I lowered my # of connections down to 30. I'm using 10 good private proxies.
