I am new at Scrapebox, and have been trying for the past 4 days to do auto comment posting, and failed totally and utterly to drop a single comment out of thousands of blogs I scraped up.

Here is what I did: I scraped up keywords in my niche using suggested custom footprints using public proxies.

Transferred the keywords list. Harvested several lists of blogs using all blog options over several days (Wordpress, BlogEngine, etc.). Transferred the scraped blog list.

Used a SB-generated email and name list.

Loaded the scraped url to the posting list, and eliminating duplicate urls.

Began posting in slow posting mode using 60 private proxies.

My results: failure, 404 (repeat tens of thousands of times using several lists).

Then I tried posting to an auto-approved list somebody gave me (it's a rather old list, to be honest).

My results: failure, 404, 100%

Today I tried again to post using the private proxies. This time I created my own unique name and email lists.

I tried slowing down the slow posting speed to 60 seconds. I turned on the auto captcha solve.

My results: failure, 404, 100%

Why am I such a failure at this? Is it me, or what?

That doesn't seem right.
Try posting to a small list without any proxies. Just a list of 20 urls.
Those pages can't all be 404 unless they are from one domain that's down.

Check your timeout settings for posting comments. You may have it set too low. I set my website loading timeout to 90 seconds and get about 7% verified successful comments out of a free 70,000 auto approve urls list I got off BHW. And that was using the fast poster mode.

Its never the program that fails, its the user. take the advice of movieman32.
Check your timeout settings, make sure you run it as administrator if you do not
have your UAC turned off on windows vista or windows 7. and if you really feel like
its not gonna work, install windows xp on vmware and run it on that to test.

I know, I kept assuming it's my inexperience/ineptitude. I'm gonna try out the tips in this thread and report back. Thanks.

What is the "UAC" on Windows? I'm a Mac user for the most part. I am running SB on a netbook running XP Home Edition with 2 GB of memory. SB runs fine on it.

I am able to post using slow poster, but slow poster still fails 100% so I'm just not gonna use it. I even increased the wait time to 90, the maximum.

Seems pointless, and I wasted so much time trying to sort out the slow poster issue. I Fakely expected that it would work better than slow poster, but whatever!

I got about 10% successful rate, using movieman32's settings. I guess the problem may be something other than SB itself.

That's strange, you probably just need to scrape better URLs since I get about 30% success rate on quick posting and about 50% or so in slow mode. However if I just scrape like 20k URLs and don't check them or run them through the blog analyzer it can drop down to like 5% success. You can find good tutorials on YouTube.

Try blasting fast poster and slow poster after harvesting and removing dup's. Post using public proxies provided by Scrapebox and see how that goes.

Fast poster first to be followed by slow poster to get a couple percent more posted. Slow poster first will only yield a 1% success rate.

I say forget the slow poster, I beginning to think all that does is burn out your proxies faster.

I have a lot more success with the fast poster according to Scrapebox, even though the program tells me I am supposed to have better success with the slow poster. Slow doesn't seem worthwhile at all, and it takes over the laptop as well.

I really do not like the idea. However, you should have check the proxy service before start working.
