Scrapebox and Wine

Hi

I'm trying to run scrapebox on Linux Ubuntu using Wine, i already tried running some windows exe with wine and it worked but with scrapebox i keep getting "encounter error #17"

i Tried installing virtualbox but it said is not compatible
also can't install Vmware on it
i'm on ubuntu hardy 64bits

Any suggestions

So No one Know haw to use scrapebox on linux ???
 
Is Scrapebox a .NET program? If it is, can you run it on Mono? Its got a basic UI, probably just Windows Forms, which Mono supports.
 
No It's not a .NET programs i think
No need to any framwork to run it
 
You might want to try copying over the system dll files from a genuine windows install instead of the ones which come with wine.
 
It said VirtualBox is incompatible with Ubuntu?

I can confirm this is not the case, and ScrapeBox will run inside a virtualized copy of XP fine.
 
I tried running it under wine and it didn't work, I spend some time trying to fix it but ended up installing virtualbox anyway.

I tried to install virtualbox on a ubuntu vps bo no success
i got an error message
wirtualbox is not compatible with xen environement
 
plz i need a help
my vps cannot run virtual machines and i need an option to run scrapebox on it
 
install vmware on ubuntu
and there u go
(i have try it . it works fine)

My vps Processor do not support virtual machines
so i can't install vmware or virtualbox

Yup, you can get windows VPN from xsserver for $25 -well worth it.

I spent ages trying to run my software on Linux box, so much easier on windows.

i wanna use it for automatic backlinking, and i have scrapebox and my home connection is very low so i have to run it on server
 
If it can't run in wine nor can you run it in a virtual machine then your out of luck. :(
 
I've tried to run with wine but I usually end up spilling it, I get a bit tipsy.

There are Windows Emulators for Linux I think, or you can install it using VMware in Linux too
 
I dont think it's possible to run SB on wine, I tried a lot of time and even asked author if someone tried and had success with it, he answered:
I've tried extensively to make ScrapeBox work on WINE, but unfortunately it doesn't work. There's a lot of things WINE doesn't emulate properly in order for ScrapeBox to work.
