Scrapebox and Public proxies

Hi,

This is nothing more than a message to people burning their life away scraping, testing and using public proxies.....

I was like you - in fact, I thought I was doing quite well, my moderate need from SB was ok, but more recently I've had huge issues with harvesting links from Google, the time taken to harvest, check stuff, post etc has been huge.

So I gave up, I saw a note somewhere on a post here, followed the link, and thought sod it, 10 proxies for under $10 a month - it's worth at least a go for a month just to see if it helps..

MY LIFE HAS CHANGED - the harvest results, the speed, the everything!!!!!

If like me you've been plodding on thinking you're doing ok and are proxies really worth it.. Trust me!! yes they are worth every single penny or cent.

That is quite true. I started off with public proxies and then switched to Proxybonanza but soon ran out the bandwidth.. Still searching for a good proxy list within the $10 price range.. There is one member here who does sell proxies but my PM's went unanswered.. so if you can suggest some, would be good.

I had to hunt through my history to find it.. didn't even save the url of where I'd got them... D'oh!!

I'm no expert on proxies, I've been scraping public ones for about a year - this was just in front of my eyes at the right time, so they got the business.

Sold as USA, unlimited bandwidth, ideal for SB, totally anonymous.

I grabbed a 10 pack of shared-private proxies here:
-I hope I'm ok to drop that link here, I did find it on BHW earlier today
-I'm not linked to it in anyway, no aff stuff etc, it's just the one I grabbed
-any problem, mods please remove it.

All I can say is they worked amazingly great - harvesting from google was perfect and fast, PR checking, blog analysing, posting, all the usual stuff - so, so, soooo much faster and much less errors.

Yep, life is way too short to be trying to post with public proxies, ok for scraping search engines but hopeless for posting. The only issue with "shared" proxies is that they are just that "shared" so there is a good chance that Askimet or StopForumSpam or whoever may ban you as shared are just one step up from "free" in that aspect.

If you can afford it get private proxies, they are obviously more expensive but you do have more control over your "destiny"

just my 2 cents but if i we're you guys, the $18 to private (non-shared) proxies from squid will be a lot better than this. it's an extra $8 but it's not shared

I have private proxies from Squid, but I run into blocked IPs CONSTANTLY when harvesting. Anyone have any recommendations?

Pros: Private has much faster harvesting speed (~300 avg urls/s)

Cons: Public has much slower speed (~30 avg urls/s)

so just to clearify:
private proxies will post faster, alot faster. use public proxies to harvest urls. and never blast your money site for fear of getting sandboxed.

please correct me if im wrong. im quite new to sb

Ok, I'm no expert in this, so others may correct me as needed, but:

I'm still using these private shared proxies, I don't thrash the hell out of SB, I only use it on my sites, generating a few hundred to 15k links per session.

The time difference is amazing, you need to try to really see.

I use them for harvesting and posting - harvesting with public ones will get you poor results from google in my experience.

As for blasting money site, I do a little, I blast mostly buffer sites and profiles, but do drop the odd hundred or so posts to my money sites, probably 50-200 links per month per site, quality comments, genuine name and email addy, a mixture of DF and NF sites so it looks totally natural.

For money sites, most of my work is manual, gets through moderation better and is a better quality link to keep the panda happy.. (higher pr sites, typically moderated, fewer outbound links, no proxy etc - totally natural)

Don't forget to ping every result and/or create rss feed etc
