I purchased scrapebox and I would like to use this for ranking my business higher in the search engines, google places, etc.

I would appreciate any recommendations on which functions to use since there are several offered with scrapebox.

Also, is scrapebox considered white hat or black hat.

    Thank you
    B.

    Dear livinlife00000,

it seems like you have a running business. With all due to respect: Concentrate on your business and hire somebody to do the SEO for you unless you are willing to put massive effort in it. You even risk to harm your business in a harsh way if you use the automated tools wrong.

Here are a lot of services that will help you out fort a decent price - just take a look at the marketplace.
    All the best

    Thank you for your reply.
Which services here would you recommend starting from the highest and lowest priority.
Also, referrals would be helpful if you would PM them to me.
    Thanks again.

with local seo, stay clear of scrapebox for mass spam in fact any seo do the same. Local seo takes much less work. Register for all the local business directory's such as yelp, yell and all the rest. (*search local business directory list in google for your country). Also then a simple service on the bst section will easily rank a local site. If you want to do it your self consider gsa and learn how to use it effectively without damaging your site.

Firstly Scrapebox is not "white hat" or "black hat" if there even is technically such a thing. In reality its more like "What works" and "what doesn't work". But thats another debate.

Scrapebox has, generally speaking, more white hat uses then black hat, persay. It has more functions that in and of them self would be considered white hat. Too many people think of automation tools as "link building/spamming tools", thats only one very small part of scrapebox and thats not where the golden nuggets are.

For local SEO you could use scrapebox to gather citations for instance, and then manually go and build those citations for your business.

My brother has a outdoor, lawn care, tree removal etc.. type business. I built him a site and did his "seo", including citations. While I ranked his site for local results, he didn't see much traffic from it. However when I got his site to show up in google local, that is when he started getting swamped with phone calls. He does snow removal in the winter and when it would snow he would literally have so many phone calls from his site that he had to turn people down and his voice mail box would fill up.

It depends on your business if local would be something beneficial, but for his it was. I did a bunch of local work and setup his google page and pages on other major sites. One thing that I did that really gave his local listing a pop was some citations off a guy on fiverr. Unfortunately that guy doesn't do it anymore, but it was the best $5 I spent during the campaign. So you can sub out some local stuff that gets good results pretty cheaply on fiverr.

However for scrapebox, the first thing I would do is gather your competitors for your keywords, then track down all of their backlinks and start there. You could PR check the backlinks and run them thru the page authority addon and then sort out the best ones and load each in a browser and see if they are paid (like does that site offer to advertise) or if its a form you can contact he website owner or do whatever they did to get a link.

The sky is really the limit. Here are videos I made on competitor backlinks:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMRyErFblAU
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWm3rQhxhks

and a good video on building quality links
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtUotlkVnas

as for citations, this is a great place to start
    https://www.whitespark.ca/local-citation-finder/

As noted above, the BST section will have some good options as well. Diversity is key. But you can use scrapebox to track down a lot of what your competitors have done. Then you can go beyond that.

Also go track down what compeitors for your market in other cites do. So if you sell windshield replacement in dallas texas. Go find people in phoenix AZ that do it, and new mexico and other cities in texas and michigan etc... Get all their backlinks and see whats driving their sites. Then get them all, then your likely to dominate your local niche.

Thats to scratch the tip of the iceburg. But it never ends, if you don't have time, your better off hiring someone and focusing on your business. Because someone else can "seo" your site and rank it, you are the only one who can actually make your business better then the competition and the best in the marketplace.

    My 2 cents.

Haha thanks mate. :) Scrapebox can do SO very much, I even still learn new things or think of new applications. I am partners in an SEO company in California and someone is always coming to me saying "we need to do X", and I have never done it, but I give it a thought 7 times out of 10 we can accomplish it with scrapebox or a good part of it. Its just so diverse.

Plus have you read up on changes as of late? So many new features and changes have been added and I know more are coming down the track. At $57 for a lifetime license you just can't go wrong. I have purchased multiple copies and they have paid for themselves 100 times over easy.

    Cheers and keep going strong!

And if you put all 99 link on scrapebox and clic on "scrape external link" have too error, for example in the first url have grab 135 url, in second url just 7, in the three url just 4 and etc.

    Why this bug?

    Well done sir.
    ========
OP- Your first goal: Setup a google + page with your keyword+ brand.
    #2. citations.
#3. check what YOUR serp is using for citations, then match and exceed.

    Good luck!

Please don't get mad at me for bumping a 3 year old thread, but I just wanted to share a great Scrapebox video for finding citations that your competitors are using, was helpful for me. I would love to see a local seo tutorial for scrapebox, trying to get as much of it done as possible through it for shits and gigs.
