You didnt get a spam complaint at all. Scrapebox is specifically banned in the TOS. They simply scanned your file system for offending files. Move to a better VPS provider (xsserver are good), and drop the current one.

Yeah xsserver is good. I used like 70GB of bandwidth with first day with them They didn't ban me.

I just Bought a Server @ XSSERVER.eu . Waiting for license transfer. Mean while can anyone help me Setting up Squid on Linux vps and Windows VPS ?? I have over 7 ips with me. Will be using them as Private proxies fo SB...

Bear in mind if you use those as proxies, they will bear the brunt of the complaints. So if your using the same VPS as you mentioned in the first post, expect more abuse complaints from them. Doesn't sound like they are terribly tolerant and thats probably a bad idea.

I'm a month or so with a german VPS, but I never got any abuse.

I always use Proxies, I have unlimited traffic on my VPS, and I delete always duplicate domains!

hi there - i'm not as technically minded as some of you guys, but i've been thinking of getting a Windows server specifically for certain windows programs, which could include scrapebox among others - question I have is about proxies - i use a VPN at the moment on my own computer to run scrapebox - it's success rate is just below 50% (which is not the best, but tolerable) - just wondering if you can install a VPN on a Windows VPS or not? or would it be better to have private proxies?

Hi! I am new to Windows VPNs. As I intent to use XServer and I habe a couple of questions. If you dont mind, it would be very nice to give me some hints on
-Why do you have to configure a domain name? I thought, the IP is sufficient.
- And how to setup this? Do you generate subdomains at another webhoster and link them to your xserver IP?
- How to connect to your Windows VPS visually to use with mouse, not just SSH? Do you have an integrated Windows Tool for that?

Hi cratyflx! Thanks to you information, Xsserver will make quite a few bucks, eh?

As I am new to VPS, I have some questions concerning setup and the use of it, maybe someone can help me there? Thanks!
1. Why do you have to give them a Domain and Nameserver, when registering the domain. I thought, the IP, they provide, is enough?
2. How do you setup the Domain and Nameserver? At another hoster and forward the Domain and NS to your XServer IP?
3. How do you connect to the Windows screen. SSH will just make a console connection, with is not enough for most Windows programs.

The complaint hasn't come from you running the software. They have scanned the files that make up your vps installation and found the scrapebox files.

Personally I think it is pretty sneaky and will not be using them.

Use the VPS to host your web sites is one thing you could use it for.

I don't think they contacted you because of complaints. Maybe they just scanned you VPS and found scrapbox on it. They did list the directory contents, etc. Just move to another vps that allows SB and see if you can get the license transfered.
