Hi guys

Every free proxy that I check comes back as Error (IP Blocked). Its been like this for a few days now and I figured that it was something temporary, but it looks like it isn't.

Is there a way around this?

Thanks :)

well only 2 possibilities, either your proxy source is very bad or theres something wrong with SB, try some other sources or private IPs if it doesnt help, contact SB support.

Here are some sources I know of:
Code:
http://globalproxies.blogspot.com
http://proxy-hunter.blogspot.com/
http://www.proxiesking.org/

Thanks for those dragonlube. There are a few more coming through that seem good, but still a lot of failures.

The proxies I was using were Scrapebox's own sources and also one services that is paid for but not private to me.

It just makes me wonder if my own IP has been blocked by all these proxies. Is that even possible?

Thanks again :)

I get similar problems using free and shared proxies.
Not sure if its the proxies or the settings as scrapebox is new to me and i haven't properly figured it our yet. It harvests ok but commenting success rate is very poor.
Was it working normally before and just started going wrong or has it been like that always for you?

Anyone can share whats the best settings to use for scrapebox using shared proxies for commenting?

private ips = posting
public proxies = scraping

when u bought scrapebox they [gave] you 7 internal links
to grab a few free proxies to get u up and running call it a freebie
but they were never intended as a long term solution.
why dont they work ..let me explain...again.....

the public proxies u are harvesting from thoes 7 urls in scrapebox
are also being harvested by thousands of other people as well.
put simple - the more people that share a source of public proxies
the worse it becomes - now imagine 10-20k people all leeching thoes
same 7 links all testing thoes same few proxies..... u get me ...?

public proxies only work as a usuable source if the base of people using them
is few... when thousands jump on them , they get murdered , useless ..
the answer - find a lesser used source of public proxies to scrape with
that thousands of people arnt sharing..

im averaging 600-1k tested public proxies per day
but i dont collect them from the scrapebox free links
i collect my own, this is why your having the same problem]
thousands of other users do harvesting thoes 7 links
mostly all dead.
and i can supply 200 people with 500-1k daily public
proxies for scrapebox with no problem - the difference
is my source has fewer people on them than u are using

yea, the ones SB provides you are horrible, dont even bother with those and like proxygo said, do your posting with private IPs, I only use the public ones for scraping and such.

Whenever you use public proxies your gonna see alot of failures, its just the way it is.

That is the reason why public lists do not always work due to the lack of "latest test" mechanism in place.

Subscribe to our proxy services here on BHW, which will give you better results than from "free public proxy lists" out there.

thats 1 thing i try not to do even though i could have.

portal friend, anyone providing public tested proxies for scrapebox within reason will
all provide simlar results because there public proxies. no1 service is better
than the other - its personal choice preference -

>i let my sig speak for my service<

SB is cheap, at only like $97 ($57 through BHW) and its only a 1 time charge. So there are a LOT of people using it! 95% of those people don't really know how to use it, and they are all using the sources provided to obtain their proxies. Proxies aren't just for scrapebox, I have been using proxies for years, way before I ever got into marketing. So look outside of the Internet Marketing world for your public proxy sources. There are many sites and forums around, and some of them you could even put the URL into scrapebox's source lists and have SB scrape your custom sources for you. Then your lists will not be like everyone else using SB incorrectly, which results in lower performance for you.

Here is a scenario... Some newbie opens SB, harvests the default sources for proxies and checks them. Then he does a blast to 500k wordpress blogs. By the end of his run, he is scratching his head and wondering why he is getting a shitty successful post count. Weeks later, wondering why he is still struggling to get backlinks... well, by the end of his 500k run (using 180 proxies from SB that were "good" when he checked them), all of the proxies are noticed by Akismet now, and every time they are used to post to WP it instantly goes into spam....

So then you come along, slightly smarter and more experienced than the newbie before you.. You have a smaller, but better quality list.. Took the time to gather a nice sized comment list, highly spun. You got a large list of random names, emails, and enough websites in your list to post to. (don't just use 1 url in the website list, you need to at least have a handful so it sin't the same website everytime!).. but you run your blast.. and your results suck.. it wasn't you, it was the idiot before you killing the proxies..

Moral of the story, delete every source scrapebox comes with and go get your own.

I have had this same issue on a few occasions and found that sometimes it has to do with my router, if you have a router try hooking up your Internet directly to your modem. I have also seen this as an issue with sockets in the OS, try rebooting. If all else fails, a wicked program for this kind of thing other then scrapebox is call Forum Proxy Leecher, check it out.

Yeah, as the guy mentioned above, Forum Proxy Leecher. I was going to mention it in my last post, but couldn't remember the name of the software lol. It comes with an app called Bleach. You can get your own azen php proxy checker to host on your own website. This is so only you are the one using it, so it is very reliable! I used to use bleach to check all my proxies, and actually still have my proxy checker on one of my sites somewhere...

But yeah, FPL is very good, especially with you build your own list of sites to leech.

yup people have always had 2 choices with proxies.
that is for thoes who no what there doing .
leech your own [ not from within scrapebox ]
already said that about 50 times over the last year.
or pay some1 to do it for you.
the end.

hmmm..problem same with me.. thanks for your suggest mate

I also just started experiencing this problem. I used to scrape public proxies all the time with extremely good results and about a week ago I too started getting alot of "Blocked ip" errors in scrapebox.

I don't used the scrapebox proxy sources I have reliable sources that I've been using with good results even for posting... but now I can't even come up with enough good proxies that passes the Google test to make them worth while

And also because some smart guy somewhere around here shares the proxies harvested with SB.Updated daily..............
So not only SB users blast those proxy, even people without SB.
Maybe this is just to fuck SB proxy and some guys sell private!
SweetFunny should check this out.

Hey I gave that software a shot and got like 42 LT1 high anon proxies from one source and ran them through scapebox and got about 4 that were good after checking through Bleach. Most likely did not pass the security testing..

Anyways I have been getting alot of (blocked IP's) with srapebox recently and now I am wondering if it is referring to my local IP. This is probably a question for Scrapebox tech support but when sb is checking proxies are is the app using my local Ip to do so? and if it is then I am thinking its the reason I am getting so many blocked IP errors.

Or does scrapebox actually query through my browser (imitates a browser query) and if so maybe I need to change my browser IP with anon one?

Or maybe I just need to reboot..

Thanks for the advise. I signed up.

Im using myprivateproxy net , have a pack of 20 and got them at a very good price $44

private proxies should always be used for posting
public proxies for scraping

i will always disagree with this part from portal even though
i have this guy on my yim

Code:

a public list is only as good as the place u get it from
the amount of people using it
and how good the proxie finder is at finding good sources
