ScrapeBox Alive checker Help!

I've been playing around with scrapebox for a month now but since maybe yesterday I've had some trouble.

I'm using alive checker and use 404 to see if the link is dead, so when alive checker says it's alive= dead and dead=alive.
It has worked like a charm for the past month but now I get a shit load of links that is alive and alive checker tells me it's not.
I even changed the error retries to 5 to see if i could get rid of it, and tried with redirect checked and unchecked.
What am I doing wrong guys?

im also having same issue...dont use the latest scrapebox,instead use the old one..i dont have the link,but you can get the file using webarchive

Check your config to see if you are also checking for 200.

Report the bug and if it is a real bug the programmers at scrapebox will fix it stright away there pro programmers and dont muck about...

Same issue with me. I am using scarpbox version 2

Have you reported this to the app owner, he can fix it that in secounds or show you a way around it.
Scrapebox is very powefull and kept upto date so go and report the problam , can be anythink even a normal os problam , like i say ,only way to no is contacting scrapebox directly...

The programmer very well known ,sleeps and eats code ,so i dont see and problem getting it fixed.

Exactly what I did back then, They have great support so you should have that problem solved in no time, unfortunately I can't recall what the problem was so I have no solution for you buddy.

This issue keep and re-occurring, however it's just the Alive Checker is not being used or setup correctly. When all web pages load they return a response code https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_HTTP_status_codes

So there's more than just 404 = Dead, and 200 = Alive.

A page can return a 301 or 302 redirect, or it can return for example a 509 Bandwidth Limit Exceeded error. Someone may want to class a site who's gone over their bandwidth limit as "Alive" because it will likely come online again soon when their bandwidth is reset, however someone else may want to class this site as "Dead".

The Alive Checker in ScrapeBox can be configured to class any responses you want as dead or alive, but with great power comes great responsibility lol. So just click the Setup button:



Here you can customize what you personally would like to mark as "Alive" by entering those response codes, whatever you do not enter will be classed as "Dead". There's also the option to follow redirects, if this is unchecked it will report the status of the exact URL you load in to the software. If you tick this, it will follow any redirects and report the Dead/Alive status of the destination URL.

Now if you run the Alive Checker and dont know why certain urls are returning Dead/Alive, you can click Export >> Save all urls with status and response code as Excel file and get this:



Now you can get the response codes of all tested URL's and tweak the success codes option so it marks URL's exactly how you want them.

Also you shouldn't use free proxies with this feature, if your proxies are throwing errors there's obviously no way you can get an accurate report.
