The amount of bandwidth it uses depends on how much and how aggressively you use it and the size of the targets you select.

There are plenty of options in the app to "throttle it down" if you want to slow the speed with which it eats bandwidth, or are concerned about showing up on a watcher's radar. But that kind of contradicts and defeats one of the reasons to run it from a VPS. If you are serious about running it from a server, just find one of the many fine hosts who are xrum/sbox/automated app friendly and you won't have to worry about that.
