I already have sick submitter, but I find the templates that are there don't work half of the time. I'm thinking about switching over to scrapeboard for profiles or even scrapebox. Any suggestions?

Neither, I'd go for magic submitter over either one of them if I were you.

Just get Dripable for profiles and blog comments
you dont have to worry about fresh lists or stuff like that
just hook it up to nuclear indexer via API and save yourself the hassle.

Plus you got no proxy cost or captcha cost.

I used to use Sick but honestly Dripable makes life so much easier.

Get forum-bot thats being sold in item section for $47

ScrapeBoard vs Magic Submitter vs Sick Submitter vs Forum Bot.

ScrapeBoard = BS. It's not worth $97, buggy software, with email verification problems, captcha solver is not as good as it seems, low success rate = BS. I love scrapebox though, it's still must-have software for each and every webmaster, however, scrapebox is the only tool from sweetfunny that deserves respect.

Magic Submitter = Great software. You can automate almost everything with it. It's very easy to learn, and it has socket mode. It's little bit buggy sometimes, but overall, it's great. You can add your own sites, fix existing ones and price is great as well. I totally recommend it.

Sick Submitter = I haven't tried version 3, but from what I remember from v2, it's a good software and price is good as well. Can't go deeply though since there were many changes in v3 so maybe software is more powerful now.

Forum Bot = Great software as well. I can say only one thing, and it will make you buy this software - Andrei is the developer, that's all you need to know. Andrei is creator of Captcha sniper, amazing tool which breaks captcha and does it excellently. Captcha breaker is integrated into forum bot which makes it amazing tool and price is too low for this software. You should definitely try it.

Overall, I will choose Magic Submitter, because you can automate anything with it. Social bookmarks, Web 2.0, Forum profiles, Forum Posts, Article directories... Anything... Just try the trial and you will be amazed

How about the ultimate deamon.?
Does anyone using it? I think it is SenukeX killer...

I have Scrapeboard, sick submitter and forum bot, and if all you want is forum profiles for cheap, go with forum bot....even just using the lists provided in the sales thread you can get a few thousand profile links and if you have scrapebox you can get many more. Forum bot is easy to use, and it has captcha snipers captcha breaking built in which is excellent. The only thing it needs is good multi threading....at the moment it uses multiple instances and you can only have either one instance or 10...10 kills my VPS, so I leave it slugging away at one instance...mutli threading would make this tool an excellence addition to anyone's SEO tools.

Scrapeboard is OK, but it certainly has issues...The mail thing does my head in. Loopline shared a whole heap of Scrabeboard friendly boards on here a month or 2 back which are great, as it has high success rate with them, and only uses the built in captcha solver. Scrapeboard also has a nice extra where it can post spintax articles to blogger and wordpress sites...I use this to manage a small blog network, so that's a useful extra...although there are plenty of other tools that can do.

Sick submitter is very good all-rounder. I find it a bit slow at times, but it's good software. If you can get your hands on some premium packets it's great. The Sick submitter SEO 3 packaet v5 is very good...and has a heap of sites...that alone make it a worthwhile purchase as an around SEO tool. The SEO pack costs 60 including life updates and you can get a year of SS for about $150 if you find a code...so for about $200 SS is a very good all-round tool...but obviously does much more than just forum profiles.

Forums alone actually are pretty average for SEO...link diversity is key....using them as tier links is the best approach....maybe a few really high PR, authoritve links at tier 1...but not heaps.
