Scrape Box Tips

ok first i wanna thank the owner of scrape box for
the copy i was given tonight .. hopefully when she
comes back online we can resolve the link problem.

second i wana thank gregstereo for spennding 6hrs
in voice chat with me on yahoo.. i may not use tools
but the scrape box tester is allowing me now to post
scrape box proxies in my forum for vip users as of now.

first thing..scrape box testing is rather slow
to increase this change these options
open scrapebox ini file edit the following
for faster leeching and testing

Threads=300
ProxyHarvester=200

this will increase the speed it leeches
and will test proxies alot faster..

time out default is 30 seconds
imagine testing say 10k proxies
where 7k are timed out - that means
7000 proxies each being re-tested for 30
seconds each. advise set it lower alot lower

TimeOut= use between 3-5. to lessen test time.

this next part only effects using socks proxies only
now if u use the internal leech option u will see if u
saved any proxies back to the main window after testing
all the socks back in the main windows list will look like this

when u import your leeched and tested proxies back to
the main window all socks will have a capital S at the start
of each port number.

why is this important - because if you take a list of socks say
from a post u might find and just load them into your main programe
window to run without testing they will look like this and will not work

the point being leeched lists checked and tested and sent back to
the main window carry the capital S... a socks list loaded into the
main programme window without testing and try to use, all socks
will fail..

as of now proxiecentral now has a new scrape box category
for all VIP members.. hope these tips help...

sample of my own proxies i test in scrape box tonight..



all the lists posted in my forum are mixed lists of
socks and anon proxies, so to get the socks in
the list to work u must re-test the whole list then
send it back to main windows or the socks will fail
if you try loading them directly into the main window
then only the anon proxies will work as the capital S
will be gone.

Do you mean the scrapebox.ini file?

I thought all the settings were available from the gui. (Well, the most important)

If you have the internet pipeline to run full throttle, these tweaks are well worth it. The proxy tester screams after tweaking it.

when u open scrape box folder it has
the file called scrapebox - not the exe file

in here u can alter threads -time out -
change these it will work faster me and
rgrgstereo just spent 7 hrs on yahoo trying it

thanks for the tip have defiinitely increase my harvesting but not sure about the s infront of sock proxies. Are you saying we need to make a change to make that happen?

Depends.

If you run proxies thru the ScrapeBox Proxy Tester, then transfer the tested proxies to the main window, SB pre-pends the "S" to any proxies that it detects are SOCKS proxies. And they work.

If you just throw SOCKS proxies into the main SB window in the format:
IPort
without an "S" at the start, SOCKS proxies won't work in SB.

And if you have proxies you know to be SOCKS proxies, you can add the "S" manually in the ScrapeBox "Select Engines & Proxies" box in the main window.

socks that are tested from the internal leecher
then sent back to the main programme so use
have the S at the start of each sock. it tells
the programme there is usuable socks in the list.

ok so here was have a few socks collected from
the leecher i removed all anon proxies to make the
point socks tested , dead removed



now when the socks proxies are sent back to the
main programme look at how the programme shows
them listed. each sock has the letter S at the start
of each port - this format means they will run.
see pic below.


if how ever u deciede to grab a list of socks
from a post somewhere and not test them but
just throw them in the main window to use
you will see the capital S is gone and any attempt
to run them will fail see pic



put simple if u have a list of socks or a list of
anon proxies/socks never just throw them in the
main window to use as all socks will fail..

send any imported liste to the proxy checker
then after u have tested them
send them back to the main window so
that the programme applys ths S to the socks
in the list.. understand? other wise your loosing
the ability run using socks and only anon will work
from the sent back list



finaly which file to edit the settings for faster
leeching and testing - the one marked in blue

proxie leecher speed increase 225%
proxie tester test increases by 28 seconds per proxie

if u have no idea about editing only change thoes 3

final test was to inport 20k mixed proxies anon
socks thrown in the tester..20k on default settings
would take about 2hrs.. with new text edited settings
list loaded leached from 669 sources .
note - while loading a list that large dont touch the
mouse - or the programme will fail to respond and crash.

loaded ammount = 20k
time taken = 29mins
working = 660
this was without me adding my socks into the test list

also im seeing a lot of people saying my tweaks dont work
there getting no working proxies..well read and learn.. heres why..

as a proxy supplier of 5 yrs the answer is simple as to why
why when u leech is the proxie count low..
lets say scrape box has sold 500 coppies [ example ]
thats 500 people all leeching the same proxies from the
same 5 leech links. no offence what do u expect.
all the links being leeches are being leeched from forums
that require no login hence why the programme can leech
them.. if the users in those 5 forums don't post many
proxies - when you people go to leech your proxie count
will be low - but that should be obvious for leeching
free proxies
this next comment is not a spam its a point , in my forum
there are no proxies posted in the free members area for
scrape box..why?.. becuse every noobie would login - log out
byby.. and the proxies get hammered by 1000 account holders
with 0 post... all my proxies for s-box are kept in the vip part
of my forum for 1 good reason.. less people using them
the longer they last [ less shared ]
so does that asnwere why the leech in s-box will have bad days?
people no post - u get no proxies to leech.

i no how leeching tools work tools such as
fpl - and proxy fire of whom i no the makers
quite well use the same effect

if the source links dont update your only leeching
the same proxies over and over

so back to the start the tweaks work fine

if the settings were incorect jammo
couldnt leech 20k proxies from 667
sources and get almost 700 proxies
working..why so many..u dont have
these sources..less used = more alive.

I fixed the scrapebox ini file as you recommed, but has not better result

see proof:

works for me and other who have tried it fine
95% reason your proxies fail is if your using the
internal leecher...dont... everyone who bought
scrape is using the 5 channle scrape leecher
hundred of people all tryint to use the same
proxies.. figure it ... it wont work.. to many
people use thoes in built proxies.. the remedy is
so simple find a source of proxies people arnt
using or posting...problem solved

oh and the tweaks work fin just finished testing
some



your problem isnt the tweaks
you need to find proxies yourself a proxie source trust
me ive sold proxies 5 yrs - once u start loading in
your own lists...u will smile..so i throw a bone u can
sniff around while looking

I still don't get better result, I have idea:

can you make a video or can you upload scrapebox.ini on here so we can dowload and update it ?

Thanks for the tips I am going to try this out tomorrow..

TimeOut=2 comes into play by the following rule
the higher the time out the longer it takes to re-test
timmed out proxies....

because i imported proxie lists to test in the scrape
box proxie tester , using default time out 30 would
criple me to test say 20k proxies.. so for me by setting
a low time out - i only get quick returns on fast proxies
anything over 2 seconds fails...jammo no like slow
proxies in his list..

hmmm video i can try how can i record what i do
i do proxies - not block buster videos

as for slow proxies
some people dont like working proxies in there list that
will take 10 seconds+ to complete a task.
i was given the tool by the kind maker on saturday.

for the last 3 days i have spent many hrs in yahoo voice
chat with greg trying to tweak the ini to make it faster.
so for me with a 20 meg connection using time out of 2
using the programmes internal leecher im still picking up
around 2-300 good proxies.. very slow... but good...
but thoes speed tweaks wont work for everyone...
but for thoes it will it cuts the time u will spend testing
proxies by along way.. i no from greg he was having trouble
tetsing 10k proxies on default in under 45mins

i went through the ini file tweaked it..i used my own private
leecher and leached 60k proxies...filtered out some rubbish so
the list was down to 40k.... that list was then imported into
the scrape box proxy tester - the test ran aprox 29mins.
in default that would have taken 2-4hrs.. and it returned
680 good proxies..

the best advice i can give is this, the 5 leech sources in s-box
are ok for thoes who want free proxies - but remember that is a free option and
the proxies will be slow because many other s-box users are all
using the same 5 links as well as u.. hence the word burning them
fast...

this is the reason i choose to use a proxy leecher with 999 source
locations not available in the programme....proxies imported that
have been used alot less = better ms time - longer life -

it just amazes me when people are saying the pre-loaded proxies
in s-box dont always work again that answer is simple.
the 5 leech sources all pull proxies from open source websites
requiring no login, this means the scraper is grabbing proxies
from 5 sites requiring no authentication login, bare that in mind
if the people on thoes sites dont post regular proxies, when you
people attempt to leech - you will be leeching the same old proxies.

thats why im glad for the proxie tester in s-box because it allows me to
import the proxies from 999 scraped sources + test private proxies
to make up good lists for my forum users..

so if u have a fast connection time out2 will work great and save u time
if u have a slower connection - dont use it
and final though - as the tool grows in popularity users will have to seek
imported source of proxies because there will reach a point the people
owning s-box will out strip the proxies u can leech from within it to work.
its already reached saturation point already only so many thing hundreds
of people can do scraping proxies from 5 internal sources.

and conisdering the tool itself is worth 100$+ let alone the 56$ the lady
charges it makes me laugh people wont go look for proxies..





what i have noticed is proxies leeched internal have a
msn time average of 1000 upto 20,000 + hence slow.

by importing own lists of lesser used proxies ms times
for me vary 100+ = faster response = faster posting

Because in the ini file, there are two "ProxyHarvester" sections. I changed the first . but in your file, you changed the second
