Does anyone have experience in implementing schema microdata? Wondering if its worth doing to get a boost in rankings.

From what I've seen, people tend to click it more if there is an author picture.
It is like if number 4 and number 5 have the same keywords but number 5 have stars or pictures, people tend to click that more.

Won't help your rankings. Will help your SERP CTR. Look into Hreveiw if you're selling a product and rel=author for an author picture on your blog posts.

Since I implemented Schema.org on my sites, I have seen a noticeable jump in SERP's - and also an increase in Page Rank. The Authorship thing will build more trust between the author and the reader - so using this with Schema.org will get you good results. Also, don't forget your regular S.E.O and social signals :).

Not sure if it will help, but the SE's can read your content and will display it properly on SERPS. I've been using schema.org and microdata on all of my themes and haven't seen a noticeable jump in rankings.

Are there any good wordpress plugins that any of you would recommend for this? I looked around on their web site a bit and it seems kinda complicated (like having to go through and edit every page of a site) to add schema tags to a site, is there a way to automate this?

Thank you!

Look into Author hReview which is a great Schema add on, and for connecting Google's Authorship with Wordpress check out Google Plus authorship by Martin Lazarov.

Those things take time for Google to index, so if you've done everything by the rules you might still have o wait a few days or weeks.

Here's one I'm about to test:
wp-buddy.com/products/plugins/rich-snippets-wordpress-plugin/

It's $10, or $50 for multi-site licence - or you can search it out for free on blackhat forums (like I did)

They also have a responsive metadata theme:
wp-buddy.com/products/themes/schema-corporate-theme/ - I've put a (REQ) in on 3 blackhat forums an hour ago, and hope to get a link soon
