Scared I've been promoting wrong affiliate links! Help

I'm with Commision Junction and been promoting links.

Positive my friend ordered through it and no sale has shown for a week.

When I want to grab an affiliate link I go to product list, find the product I want to sell (active relationship with vendor of course), and click on the product.

Then I went to product detail>Buy URL>Product Destination, then I copy the URL in my browser which the "product destination" link took me to.

Is that right?

If not, where do I find the link to promote a certain product.?

you want the link that sends you to the destination.. Not the url that appears when you get there

http://www.tkqlhce.com/BlahBlahBlah is the cj affiliate link that you want. using it takes you to the landing page www.vendorsite.com/product?blahblah .

promote the cj link , not the vendors landing page

So Where Do I find it?
