So I am about to pull the trigger on Xsserver's VPS windows service. I am curious i've alwasy been a linux server/mac man myself. How easy is it to setup scrapebox on a VPS? Also what would the recommeneded amount of RAM be? 1gb or 512mb...

I know how to use Scrapebox on my VMware Fusion Win7 on my mac...

I would go with the 1GB of RAM, it will make running multiple SB copies much smoother
 
1GB ram at minimum, you can run it smoothly at 1GB, but at 512mb you will be having issues.

How easy is it to set up? Very easy as on your on PC, just download the files, send activation details (Name, Paypal Email, Transaction ID) and wait for them to confirm.

No you do not, you may transfer the license once a month, go to your VPS, download scrapebox , and put in all required details for activation, then it will be activated there (manually) and you will not be able to use it on your home PC/laptop but on VPS you will. You may transfer the license once every 30 days.

I'm not affiliated with them however i have a vps of theirs through a reseller (websiteserviceplus) that i use exclusively for SB and have had no problems.
 
Already bought a Xsserver VPS, once I get scrape up and running I will let yall know how it is!
 
Quick question with the new VPS I set up what should the settings in scrapebox be how many threads to post to at once?
 
One other quick question at what point should you use proxies for fast posting, it seems the free ones dramatically lower success rate. I just bought the VPS, scrapebox, web domains, and a alt. server for other thing. Trying to avoid costs unless brutally necessary.
 
@OP

A) You REALLY need private proxies to make ScrapeBox effective. HMU and I can give you contacts for a solid supplier.

B) You will want at least 1gb ram. Don't skimp out on your server. If you have the funds pay for a solid server. It will pay itself many times over.

A $hitty server means $shitty results. If you need a ScrapeBox pro to configure your setup hmu. I gotta friend who's epic @ ScrapeBox. He charges but, it'll be VERY worth the investment to have your setup operating at maximum performance.
 
Alright I got 10 proxies from squid for $18! Anything else I should be alerted to doing?
 
I have a few questions about 2 or 3 different SB licenses on 2 or 3 different PC:

1. Can i use the same internet provider? Or i need different providers for each PC?
2. Can i use one VPS for all PCs? Or i need different VPS for each PC?
3. What is the minimum, the regular and the best hardware requirements for SB?

Can someone tell me if SB run on a linux vps with centos? I've only used it on my personal pc, and am considering transferring it to a vps.
 
Quick newbie VPS question: can you direct me to some resources on how to move files between my comp and the vps? So far I was able to set up the server, but need to add an antivirus and be able to move files back and forth...

This is a completely new area for me, so forgive my green questions...
 
Ye, I have issues with 512mbs- crashes often if running a list over 500k.

Just ordered the 1gb version so looking forward to seeing what results will be like.
