I am selling an old laptop on a marketplace site and got contacted by a scammer... He offers to pay me via Paypal and then get me to send the laptop to him, he will reverse the transfer later and I will lose my laptop.

Is there any way I can screw this guy over? I can send the money to any Paypal account I want, so is there a way I can get his money and send him a picture of my laptop via email and say here is your laptop :)

how can toy confirm that hes a scammer if i remember i think you launched a similar story last year?

lol just don't accept paypal how hard is it.

at the end it will save you a lot of headache :p

I am pretty sure the scammer is going to send you a fake paypal email saying that he sent funds and its going to be on hold until shipping information is received. He/she is probably going to say relative is in Nigeria, Vietnam, etc and send it to he/she or it will be a US address which is probably a foreclosed house/for lease or a real address of someone that has been duped into receiving the package

hehe i will never send it to him, it is definitely fake... anyways, i wanted to check out if i could scam the guy back.... :)

did you scam the guy at the end ? always when I post something in craigslist I receive those e-mails / texts

Even if they are a "scammer", it is still illegal to "scam" them. Just try to stay out of trouble. If I see a shady person, I try to stop talking with them, or say that I got a better offer.
